Creative Card Chicks



This is my card for February's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month. This is the 9th month of this round and it will end in the middle 2021.

Vikki Jo is the hostess this month and she sent everyone two fun images along with some fun patterned paper and embellishments.  I colored the House Mouse Gruffles Digging in the Dirt image with my Copic Sketch Markers. The background paper is Stampin' Up's Flowers for Every Season.  Two green brads were added for the final touch for this card.

Thanks For All You Do!



This is my card for January's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month. This is the 8th month of our new round--join me into the middle 2021.

I am the hostess this month and sent everyone this tea cup image from Two Paper Divas, along with some fun patterned paper and embellishments.  I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I added a sentiment from one of the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment packs.  I used two of the Stampin' Up Tranquil Textures Designer Series Papers for the background and added strip.  Three ribbons for tags on the side and 3 blue rhinestones were then added for the final touch for this card.

He Sees You!


This is my card for November's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month. This is the 6th month of our new round--join me through the rest of 2020 and into 2021.

Suzy stepped in as the hostess this month and she gave us a choice of two sketches to use for our card.  She also said it needed to be a Christmas theme with an animal.  I picked Big Grumpy Cat and added the Big Grumpy Christmas stamp sets and the matching dies, both from Taylored Expressions. I colored the images with my Copic Sketch Markers and added some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle on the white parts of the hat!   The sketch I picked was SC607 and I showcased some of the fun patterned paper in a 6x6 pack from Gina K Designs called Winter Whimsey.  I added a velvet bow as the final touch for this colorful card.

Summer's Wave Goodbye


This is my card for September's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month. This is the 5th month of our new round--join me through the rest of 2020 and into 2021.

Sue is the hostess this month and she sent everyone a sketch to follow along with some fun patterned paper to use.  I then picked a fall sentiment Riley and Company, Funny Bones line.  I inked the sentiment with a Kaleidacolor pad called Autumn leaves.  I used two of the patterned papers Sue--the leaves for the background and the burlap for the strip. The 3 gold sequins were then added for the final touch for this colorful card.

Mane Event


This is my card for September's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month. This is the 4th month of our new round--join me through the rest of 2020 and into 2021.

Terry is the hostess this month and sent everyone this sweet image from Taylored Expressions called Mane Event. Terry also included some fun sentiments and some cute patterned paper.  And--she included a Wobble, which I used on my card!

I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I used two of the patterned papers for the background.   I added one of the sentiments that I punched with a Stampin' Up circle punch and the wobble is behind the lion!  A few bright yellow enamel dots complete this fun card.

Sending Hugs!



This is my card for August's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month. This is the third month of our new round--join me through the rest of 2020 and into 2021.

Maggie is the hostess this month and sent everyone this great image from CC Designs called Scaredy Cat. Maggie also included two fun sentiments and some cute patterned paper. 

I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I used two of the patterned papers for the background.   I added one of the sentiments, but I am not sure any one is taking me up on a hug from this cat!

Poppies!


This is my card for July's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.   This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month. This is the second month of our new round--join me through the rest of 2020 and into 2021.

Debby is the hostess this month and sent everyone this sweet image from Deadbeat Designs. Debby also sent some cute patterned paper along with other embellishments.  

I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and layered under a scalloped frame I cut from two dies by Gina Marie Designs.  I also used two of the cute patterned papers.   I added some of the twine Debby sent to complete my card.

Mini Fairy Ring


This is my card for June's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks. This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month. This is the first month of our new round--join me through the rest of 2020 and into 2021.

Suzy is the hostess this month and sent everyone this sweet image from Outlines Rubber stamps called Mini Fairy Ring.  This company is closed and I too have some fun, whimsical stamps from this company!  Suzy also sent some cute patterned paper along with other embellishments.  

I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and layered over two of the cute patterned papers. I also layered the pink baker's twine over the green ribbon under the image.   I added a flower in the corner and then a rhinestone in the center of the flower along with the center on one of the flowers in the image!

Creative Card Kits


These 2 cards are for May's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month. 

Vikki Jo is the hostess this month and sent everyone components from the Most Wonderful Time Medley. She included some sentiments for each person to chose from. Vikki Jo also sent some patterned paper along with other cute embellishments.  

I used the sticker images and layered them on the patterned paper.  I also made sure to use some of the great gold glitter paper on both cards.  I added each of the sentiments that Vikki Jo included along with some embellishments.
