I'd Pick You!

This is a card I made for April's Monthly Challenge for the Girls of the Baker's Dozen.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.  Jeanette was the hostess and sent us a bunch of cute flower images and sentiments.  Jeanette wrote--This month being April, I'm thinking of warmer weather, springtime activities and lots of flowers.  She picked the theme--If friends were flowers, I'd pick you" because she truly does treasure our friendships.  And--I so appreciate all of my friends in this group and all of my card groups too!  This is the last month of a post as the Baker's Dozen--we return in May with Suzy's image as Creative Card Chicks!

Here is the inside of my card:

This was a fun kit and I hope the Jeanette and the others like my card.

Swing into Spring

If you are looking for my {PIN}Spirational Challenge, please scroll up.

It is the 15th of the month and that means we get to show off a new Dueling Darlings challenge. For the April Challenge, Suzy and Terry are the Darlings who decided on the theme.  Terry is a Darling and Suzy is a Diva, my team!

The theme or challenge they picked is "Swing into Spring or Spring".  This is what Suzy wrote for the Divas:   So, our theme is "swing into spring" or "spring". Not sure how we decided to word it! Some of you haven't even seen spring yet!!  The second part of your challenge is to let us know what your favorite dessert that was made usually in the Spring....maybe something that was only made at Easter time. If you want...share the recipe! We can always use more dessert recipes!!

Here is the inside of my card--I used the sweet die cut that Suzy sent:

I really do not have a spring-time food that I crave--however, I do look for the start of all of the fresh fruit that starts to arrive at our local stores.  I also look forward to the local farmer's markets starting up later this spring!

I hope Suzy and the other Darlings enjoy my card.

Unidentified Image Revealed

This is the card for the 25th round of the Unidentified Image swap on SCS.  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--that is today!   The images for this round were provided by Laura Jean.  She will swap the cards and include the next image that Terry, our next hostess, provides in our return envie.  And then we get to do it all again--for round #26!!!

The image that LJ sent is from one of my favorite companies--Whipper Snapper.  Isn't he adorable?

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations today or in the next few days.  I hope LJ and the others in this swap like my card!

My Special Friend

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image I  provided this month for Card #19!  We have been doing this for more than a year and a half now and it has been blast! Kelly is up next for the May challenge and I know she is already thinking about it.  Be sure to come back to see what we create!

For our card this month, I sent out a pretty D. Morgan spring image that I thought might be a challenge.  It was fun to color up and I added some pearls to add some bling.  I also consider Kelly and Jeanette two of my special friends-just like the stamp says.

I also used my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on the flowers, so they look like they are glistening in the rain.

Here is the inside of my card:

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  They may post today, or it may be upcoming, so be sure to check out their blog for their card!
