Jump for Joy

This is my card for a swap called the SIS--Surprise Image Swap.   This is card #20 for our group.  It is a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The surprise part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--the 18th of every other month.  This sweet image for this round was provided by Jody!  She will swap the cards and include the new image for round #21 that Janet will have stamped in each return envie. Then--we do it all again in June!

Jody sent us this cute frog image from Penny Black called Jump for Joy.   Jody's word of the year is Joy and she mentioned she uses this image often.  I picked my background patterned paper called Spring is Calling--perfect for this card!  I then colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I die cut the panel with a MFT-My Favorite Things Stitched Tag Corner Rectangle Die.  I put a strip of Black Grosgrain Ribbon behind the image. I used Gina K Master Layouts 2 for the patterned paper and the backer. I added some Trinity Stamps Aquamarine Ripple Gems. This was a fun card to make!

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations.  The due date is today, the 18th, or they may post in the upcoming days. You can also check out SCS and use the keyword SIS20 to see some posted there.  I hope everyone in the swap likes my card--and that you do too!

Happy Snowman

Today is the 9th and it is now time for another The Three Musketeers post. This round, Jeanette is the hostess and she sent out this sweet image from Penny Black called Happy Snowman!  For March,  this is card #127 and we are now in year #12!  I cannot believe this trio has been going strong for 11 strong years!

I colored the snowman image with my Copic Sketch Markers  The pretty snowflake patterned paper is from a 6x6 paper pack from Mintay called Christmas Blessings.  I added some Lost Lagoon ribbon behind the image.  The sentiment is from my sentiment box, so I am not sure what company it is from.  I added some clay snowflakes from Taylored Expressions around the image. I  I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is the link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of cute cards!  Kelly is up for our April challenge, so please be sure to join us again.

Round two of Alcohol Inks

Today is the the 12th and it is time for another Hot Mess card. This card is #66, so we are now into year #7. The idea of Hot Mess ~ Success is to Get Messy and you will have Success!  Messiness can be almost anything that we come up with--glitter, alcohol inks, glimmer glitz, sponged backgrounds, etc., anything that is a bit messy.  We are a very fun group and will post a card each month on the 12th.  The links to the other members are on my left side bar and I will also link them at the bottom at this post.

This is the third card from my November messiness.  I made three alcohol inked panels, two from white Yupo and one from Silver Yupo.  I shared the other two cards and all three panels in my post last month, so today, here is the card from the silver panel. I used various shades of green of Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks with a bit of silver added.

For this Christmas card, I used my Penny Black Immense Noel die, cut from silver metallic cardstock.  I layered the word three times and added it to the silver glossy panel that has the green alcohol inks. The cardbase is Mossy Meadow.  I added some rhinestones around the word Noel.

I really like the look of this card and hope you do too.  I also sure hope my fellow messy ladies like it too!  Here are the links to the other somewhat messy crafters:   Carol, Darlene, Jeanette and TerryI am sure you will enjoy seeing how everyone got messy this month and was successful in making some great cards!   Be sure to check back to see what we are up to in in 2025 as in January as we will all be back!

Frosty's Flakes

Here we are--this is the Double Duty Day!  This is the 43rd month, so we are in our 4th year!  WOW--4 years of making two cards with the same stamp from different companies each month!

Each month, we get to pick a stamp set from a predetermined company. Then, we will use that one stamp set and make two cards from the set.  Different images and sentiments from the same set can be used, or use the same image two different ways—Double Duty either way!  But, as an added challenge, one item must be used on both cards—same color cardstock, same ribbon, same stencil, same something.  Double Duty Again!  We will post both cards on our blog on the the 22nd of each month.  See-Double Duty again!  We will be sure to have fun getting doubly inky each month with a different stamp company.  Let’s have fun!

For July, we are doing something a bit different.  It was decided to pick one Christmas stamp from any company and create a Christmas in July card.  I decided to go with one of my favorite Penny Black stamp sets called Frosty's Flakes.  I love this snowman image!

For both cards, I colored the images with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I also added some Stickles on his hat where the snow has landed.  It has been a long time since I broke out some stickles!  I also added a sentiment from one of my many sentiment strips for a fun cards.

For this red card, I picked a Gina Marie Designs Die called Peekaboo Rectangles to frame the image.   I then added some Taylored Expressions Clay Snowflakes around the image.

For the teal card, I went with a MFT Stitched Rectangle Frame along with a layer of Coastal Cabana.  I added a string of snowflakes and I believe they were from a Stampin' Up die as they were already in my stash.  I added some shiny bling inside each of the snowflakes.

I like the sparkle and shine in each of the cards.  I picked a frame to showcase the fun image.   I added stickles to each of the card along with some additional snowflakes!

I hope you enjoyed my cards for our group.  Please be sure to check out the other Double Duty cards. Here is a link to Jeanette'sDarlene’s  and  Carol's blogs.   I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of sets of great cards.

Next month we will highlight The Stamp Market.   So be sure to check out our cards on August 22nd!

It's All About the Flowers

Today is the 15th and this is my card this month for our The Creative Crew!  We are a group of 7 and all one team--Jeanette, Carol, Darlene, Lorraine, Terry, Tracie and me. Each month will be a new challenge posed by one of the members sending out a kit. This month, Tracie is the hostess who sent us this fun kit with this sweet image from Penny Black. She also included some fun patterned paper from The Paper Source and a couple of butterflies.  The theme is It's all About the Flowers!

I colored the cute image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I die cut it with a Stitched Rectangle from Gina Marie Designs to add a bit of detail to the rather large panel. I layered the panel on one of the foiled background panels, then a layer of gold metallic and a white card base. I then placed the black detail part of the butterfly over one of the butterfly bses Tracie sent to match the foiled background.  I added some gold pearls from Stampin' Up to the middle of the butterfly. I did not add a sentiment so this card can be given for any occasion.  This was a very fun card to make!

I hope all of The Creative Crew Gals enjoy my cards this month.  Please be sure to stop in to see what fun crafty cards are posted this month.  All of the blogs can be found on my left sidebar.  Our teammate Lorraine does not have a blog, so please check out her card in her SCS gallery.   I am sure you will enjoy all of the snowy creations this month!

We will be back in June with a challenge that Jeanette and I will be creating!  Be sure to check in with us on the 15th to see what fun we  have planned!

Nice One!

Today is the 15th and this is my card this month for our The Creative Crew!  We are a group of 7 and all one team--Jeanette, Carol, Darlene, Lorraine, Terry, Tracie and me. Each month will be a new challenge posed by one of the members sending out a kit.  This month, Jeanette is the hostess and sent out a kit with this sweet birthday image from Penny Black called Nice One.  She also included some fun birthday patterned paper from The Paper Studio along with some colorful Stampin' Up gems for bling!

I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and then fussy cut the image.  I then attached the image to a circle I cut out of vellum and popped the circle up with foam tape.  The patterned paper I picked for the background was a sheet of candles!  I die cut the sentiment Jeanette included with an oval die and popped it up on the top of the card.   I added some of the yellow gems around the circle.

My Love

Today is the 9th and it is now time for another The Three Musketeers post. This round Kelly was the hostess and she sent us a sweet My Love image by Penny Black for this month's theme of Love!  So for February,  this is card #114 and we are into year number 10!  I cannot believe this trio has been going strong for 10 plus years!

I colored the sweet bear image with my Copic Sketch Markers.   I die cut the image with a die from MFT called Mod Stitched Rectangles. I stamped a Valentine sentiment from a Stampin' Up set called Good Greetings and die cut it with a Gina K Designs banner from Master Layouts 2 die set.  The background paper is from a fun pack from The Stamps of Life called Sweetheart Collections. I flagged a piece of Real Red cardstock for a banner on the side of the image. For the final touch, I added some clay hearts from Taylored Expressions around the image.  I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is the link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  I am up for our March challenge.   Please be sure to join us again.

Frosty Flakes

Today is the 15th and this is my card this month for our The Creative Crew!  We are a group of 7 and all one team--Jeanette, Carol, Darlene, Lorraine, Terry, Tracie and me. Each month will be a new challenge posed by one of the members sending out a kit.  This month I am the hostess and sent out a kit with this sweet snowman image from Penny Black called Frosty Flakes.  I also included some fun winter patterned paper from Echo Park paper and the Winter Magic Line along with some snowflakes for bling!

I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and then die cut it with a Sizzix Dotted Square Die.  It is a very large image, so not much of the snowflake patterned paper was going to show, so I added two strips from the other two patterns for a bit of interest!    I added some of the Taylored Expressions clay snowflakes around the image.

We will be back in February with the image Jeanette will be sending out.   Be sure to check in with us on the 15th to see what fun we  have planned!

Sweet Hedgie!

This is my card for a swap called the SIS--Surprise Image Swap.   This is card #11 for our group.  It is a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The surprise part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--the 18th of every other month.   The image for this round was provided by Janet.  She will swap the cards and include the new image for round #12 that Terry stamps in everyone's return envie. Then--we do it all again in December!

Janet sent everyone this sweet image from the Penny Black Sweet You set.  She included a sentiment, but I decided to leave the card blank so it could be used for any occasion. I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I die cut the image and backer with my Stampin' Up Circle Dies. I picked a sweet 6x6 Craft Paper called Patena. The scalloped layer behind the image and the strip is from The Paper Cut called STardream Bronze.  I added a piece of Bermuda Bay that was die cut with a border die from The Paper Cut over the metallic strip. Then, I piece of Bermuda Bay ribbon over the top.  I added some teal enamel dots for the final touch.

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations.  The due date is today, the 18th, or they may post in the upcoming days. You can also check out SCS and use the keyword SIS11 to see some posted there.  I hope everyone in the swap likes my card--and that you do too!

Give Thanks!

Today is the 9th and it is now time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the Penny Black Harvest Breeze image and sentiments that Kelly sent out for our September card, #109! That means we starting year number 10 with this fun challenge! 10 YEARS--WOW!!!!! All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month and we hope that it continues for a long time!

Kelly sent Jeanette and me this cute Penny Black image of the bear and additional friend--a hedgie!  She also included 2 sentiments.  I colored the images with my Copic Sketch Markers--I had to include his friend too!  Kelly had die cut both of the images for us--thanks loads! I picked the fun patterned paper for the background--a forest for the animals.  I decided to add an Ellantina cover plate over the top that I layered three times.  I added the two animals, along with the sentiment over the lattice frame.   I did not add any bling to my card this time!  I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is the link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  I am up for our October challenge--I had better get thinking of what I want to send.  Please be sure to join us again.

Penny Black Vase

Here we are--this is the Double Duty Day!  This is the 18th month, so we are in the middle year #2.  This was a thought that I had in the middle of the night and it is called Double Duty!

For August, the company we are using is Penny Black.  There are many cute Penny Black images but I went with a favorite floral wooden stamp.  This stamp is called Polka Dot Vase Bouquet!

For both cards, I used the same embossing folder from Sizzix called Staggered Chevrons.  I also die cut the image panel on both cards with Gina K Designs Master Layouts 9.  The sentiment on both cards is also from a Gina K Designs card kit.

For this card, I stamped the image and colored with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I added some Trinity Stamps Pink bling as the final touch.

For the second card, the yellow one, I stamped the image on watercolor cardstock.  I used my Altenew Watercolors pens to color the image.  I added some Pinkfresh Studio Peach Fuzz Jewels as the final touch!

So again, I had a number of Double Duty elements on these cards. I used the same embossing folder on both cards.  I die both image panels with Master Layouts 9 and used the same sentiment strip, all from Gina K Designs.  I also used only two colors of cardstock for each card--and typically I used three!  Gems were the final touch on both!

I hope you enjoyed my cards for our group.  Please be sure to check out the other Double Duty cards.

Here is a link to Jeanette's,  Darlene and Carol's blogs. I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of sets of great cards.  Our friend Kelly might occasionally post a card for our challenge, but she could not commit to the entire year.  So, check her blog to see if she did play along this month!

Impression Obsession Stamps is up for our our September challenge, so be sure to check out our cards on the 22nd!
