Gnome for Christmas

This is my September-October card for the Christmas CraZy group on SCS. We are in our third year of this fun group.  Pansy took over in 2018 for the group that Jeanette had organized the year before.  We each receive a card kit from another person in the group and made a card with the image and papers sent.

For this round, I was matched with Diane and received this cute image from Polkadoodles Stamp Gnome For Christmas Let's Go!  Diane said this is a fun image to color, but a bit challenging.  She was right on both counts!  I added the Winter Wishes die cut that she also included.   I hope Diane and the others like my card!

You might need to look at the image for a few seconds to see that it is a moose hold a gnome on his back.......................  See It?

Here is the inside of my card, with another sentiment Diane included:

Deer Friends

This is my July-August card for the Christmas CraZy group on SCS.  Yes, I am a bit behind in posting for this group..............  We are in our third year of this fun group.  Pansy took over in 2018 for the group that Jeanette had organized the year before.  We each receive a card kit from another person in the group and made a card with the image and papers sent.

For this round, I was matched with Susan and received many cute images and sentiments that are retired from Stampin' Up.  I picked three round images from the Deer Friends set and mounted them on the Layering Circle Dies. She also included some great patterned Christmas paper and I went with the Peppermint Candy!  I hope Susan and the others like my card!

Farmall H or M?

This is the 44th week of A Card a Week Challenge. One card a week--for 52 weeks--with a preset challenge for each month. October is make a masculine card--and most card makers know that is a challenge!   Every Tuesday in October, I made a masculine card for my monthly challenge.

For my final card in October, I used one of my favorite masculine sets from Stampin' Up called Harvest Blessings.  I water colored tractor image and especially the tractor red, as it is a Farmall! It is looks just like the Farmall H or M that I drove all the time on the on the farm where I grew up.  I also used the Diamond Plate embossing folder for the background as it looks like tire tracks. I did not add any other embellishments as I wanted the image and sentiment to be the star!  I think this can be a birthday card or a thinking of you card or a just because card!  And--I think it honors farmers who work so hard to put food on all of our tables!

I really like the look of this card and hope you do too.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope you will stop back each Tuesday to see my creation for my A Card a Week Challenge!  November is around the corner. Be sure to check back to see what I create and what the new theme will be.

Autumn Colors

Today is the day I post a project for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 33rd month of de-stashing-we are well into our 3rd year into our challenges.

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Vickie posted our October challenge--Use autumn colors to create a fall/autumn card or project!

I went with a Stampin' Up set called Falling for Leaves and the coordinating die set called Detailed Leaves.  I don't think it has seen ink in the past, so I did Challenge My Stash!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards today or in the next few days.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSOCT.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For November, Tracie is up and I am sure we will have fun theme.  Be sure to check back to see what we create!

Polar Bears

This is my card for the 46th round of the Unidentified Image swap on SCS.  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted.   The image for this round was provided by Vickie .  She will swap the cards and include the next image that I sent in their return envie, as I am the next hostess.  And then we get to do it all again--for round #47--in December!

Vickie sent us this cute retired image from Stampin' Up. This is a perfect image to use for a Christmas card!  I colored it with my Copic Markers and layered it with scalloped circles. I picked some some cute snowflake patterned paper by Bo Bunny for the background.  I used the sentiment Vickie sent us by adding a silver snowflake that is held in place with silver cord.  Rhinestones add some sparkle!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations a week or so ago.  The swap was due on the 18th and I did not get a chance to post until today.  You can also check out SCS and use the keyword UIS46 to see some posted there.  I hope Vickie and everyone in the swap likes my card--and that you do too!

Creative Card Chicks

This is my card for October's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.

Maggie is the hostess this month and sent everyone this some Halloween images for us to pick from. She also sent some great patterned paper along with other cute embellishments.  I picked the Owl image from A Grimm Fairytale along with the coordinating sentiment.  I am not familiar with this company or image, so it was fun to make my card! I know that I will send this card later this week to a friend for Halloween!

Here is the inside of my card:
