Dance in the Rain

It is a Tuesday and time for my card a week challenge.  March is to use a Alphabet Challenge from SCS for each week.  As I mentioned last week, the Alphabet challenge is taking a break for a few weeks, but I have not taken off on my challenge!  I made a card to send to friends and family to tell them I am thinking of them in this "new normal".

I used a sweet sentiment stamp from the Itty Bitty Jillibean line from Unity Stamp Company!  I colored the cutie with my Copic Sketch Markers and added Wink of Stella on the umbrella and boots.  I cut the image and background layer from my Stampin' Up Oval Dies.  The embellishments are a few sequins and pink stitched grosgrain ribbon.

Here is the inside of my card:

I really like the look of this card and hope you do too.

I hope you will stop back for the next Tuesday to see what the theme will be for my April cards--stay tuned!

Card #2 from Emily's Kit

I am finally getting a chance to share the cards that I have made with the fun card kits I received in January.  I was so excited to be the recipient of these snowy themed card kits in a swap that I am hosting on SCS.  I received 10 kits and I hope to make 2 cards from each kit.  That was my plan in 2018 and I succeeded--and I think I can do it again!   So--stay tuned as I will be making the cards in the next few weeks and will post them as I can.

This is card kit #1, from Emily.  She sent an entire stamp set as she has decided it is easier than to be sure to follow all of the companies Angel Policies.  I was the recipient of a great set from Inky Antics called Christmas Friends. The set has some fun snowy images and great holiday sentiments.  She also included some fun patterned paper by Crate Paper, cardstock by Stampin' Up along with many, many fun embellishments. I was able to make 2 cards and I posted the first card yesterday-check back if you want to check it out. Be sure to check back to see the rest of my creations from this fun card kit swap in the next few weeks!

I colored the cute snowman with the Christmas lights image with my Copic Sketch Markers and layered it with My Favorite Things-MFT-Stitched Arch Stax.  The embellishments are gold glitter ribbon along with gold sequins.

Here is the inside of my card:

Thanks for a great kit and fun stamp set Emily--these were two fun cards to make!

Umbrella and Slicker!

Today is the 28th, the the day I post a project for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 39th month of de-stashing-we are into our 4th year of our challenges.

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Barbara posted our March challenge--March comes in like a Lion, goes out like a Lamb!

I picked one of my favorite Whipper Snapper Designs called Umbrella & Slicker along with some fun patterned paper from Echo Park Paper.  I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I added the coordinating sentiment stamp from Savvy Stamps.  Yellow baker's Twine is the added embellishment!

Here is the inside of my card, with the backside of the same paper!

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards in the next few days.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSMAR.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.  They probably will be posted today or in the next few days.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For April, Joyce is up.  Be sure to check back to see what we create!

The Perfect Tree!

This is my late January-February card for the Christmas CraZy group on SCS. We are in our fourth year of this fun group.  Pansy took over in 2018 for the group that Jeanette had organized the year before.  We each receive a card kit from another person in the group and made a card with the image and papers sent.

For this round, I was matched with Angie and received this sweet image from Elzybells.  I could not find the name of it any place on the internet.  Angie also sent some sweet patterned paper.  I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and added a few red brads.  I hope Angie and you like my card!

Dance, Sing, Love!

This is my March card is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS.  Each month we make 10 cards and include a matching envelope.  They can be any theme for any month.  All of the swappers are wonderful and I have received awesome cards each and every month.

I inked up an older wooden Penny Black stamp called Dance, Sing, Love.  I picked the Stampin' Up Painted With Love Designer Series Paper for the background and then layered the image over gold metallic cardstock die cut with Gina Marie Designs Stitched Squares.  Gold Metallic ribbon is the added touch.  I think everyone can use a sweet card like this!

Courage

It is a Tuesday and time for my card a week challenge.  March is to use a Alphabet Challenge from SCS for each week.  However, the Alphabet challenge is taking a break for a few weeks, but I have not taken off on my challenge!  I decided to make a card this week and next to send to friends and family to tell them I am thinking of them in this "new normal".

I used a sweet sentiment stamp from Stamp A Mania that I got a number of years ago when I was in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  I found a sweet little stamp store and they had a number of southwestern style stamps. I do not think the company is still in business as I looked online for the name of the stamp as there was just a number on the package.  I added a layer  patterned paper called Signposts from the That Away Collection from Studio Calico.

Here is the inside of my card:

I really like the look of this card and hope you do too.

I hope you will stop back for the next Tuesday to see the final card for March!

Happy Birthday!

This is my card for our March swap for my local stamp store called Polka Dots.  The theme is Birthday Cards.  I went with a sentiment From Two Lips Stamps, which is the company of Therese, the owner of Polka Dots.  The line of sentiment stamps are funny and even a bit naughty at times.  I laugh out loud at many of them!  I cut the sentiment and added a frame from Stampin' Up's Stitched Rectangle dies.  Then, I layered some retired Designer Series Paper called Sycamore Street for the bright pop of color.  That is one of my favorite sets of patterned paper!

Here is the inside of my card:

I am sure I will get back some fun and colorful cards!

She Loves Me!

This is my card for March's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.

Sue is the hostess this month and sent everyone this sweet image from House Mouse called She Loves Me. She included some sentiments for each person to chose from.  Sue also sent some patterned paper along with other cute embellishments.

I colored the cute image with my Copic Markers and die cut it with Sizzix Dotted Square Dies.  I added the Mint Macaron ribbon, some green sequins and the sentiment layered with Stampin' Up Oval Punches.

Here is the inside of my card, with another sentiment Sue sent:

The Creative Card Chicks are to post our cards between the 21st and 23rd of each month--so if you check the blogs on my sidebars, you may see more of these wonderful creations! Many of our members also post their card in our SCS thread--so you might find more there.  This is the 9th month of the new round.  Be sure to come back and join us again in April with an image that Kelly sends out.

Friday's With The Project Bin

It is Friday, so  that means that I am back with another card for The Project Bin Stamps--A Way With Words!  This year, we are changing our posting dates and I am posting every first and third Friday, using one of the great photopolymer stamp sets from this sweet company.  So, please plan to come back to see what I have created--I think you too will love these great sentiment stamp sets.  And, remember, some of the sets come with matching steel dies! Denise is the owner, founder and creator of these wonderful stamp sets.  The sentiments she has for us to ink up are just perfect for any holiday or time of year.  Please be sure to go and check them out!

I am so excited to see what great stamp sets Denise has in mind for the future.  I am sure she will have some wonderful sentiments for us to ink up and for you to consider purchasing!  I just know you too will love creating cards with these stamp sets!!!
If you want to check out more creations from the design team, be sure to check out The Project Bin Blog as often as you can.  Every day there is a different card posted by one of the design team members.

For my second card for March, I used one of the sweet Easter stamp set called Spring Zen. This set comes with 9 great spring stamps--3 images and 6 sweet sentiments. The images are so fun to color and I know I need a few Easter cards this year.  I know whoever gets this card will love it!

I first inked up the cross and sentiment with Versamark to emboss with copper embossing powder.  I then colored the cross with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I added Crushed Curry Baker's Twine and some white glimmer enamel dots.  I really like this card and I hope you do too.

Here is the Spring Zen stamp set:

I hope you have enjoyed my card for The Project Bin. Check back on every week, any day on The Project Bin Blog for inspiration for the team but especially on alternate Friday's to check out my cards. I am so excited to be on this wonderful design team!
