Blessings

This is my card for our every other month swap for an awesome group of ladies on SCS--the SOTC--Sisters of the Traveling Cards!  Judy is our hostess for February and she posted the following:You may have noticed in my posting the other day that I have chosen the word "Blessings" as my focus for 2016. Because I consider each one of you a blessing in my life and in the spirit of that word I would like you to create a card with the theme of "Counting my Blessings". This can be a "Thank You" card or one of "Encouragement" or "Praise". As an option I would love for you to incorporate a butterfly on your card. I love butterflies for their beauty and for their symbolism. Here are some examples:
Symbolic Butterfly Meanings
• Time                • Soul                   • Grace                • Growth
• Elegance          • Expansion           • Lightness          • Surrender
• Transition        • Expression           • Celebration       • Resurrection
• Vulnerability
I look forward to seeing your creations!

I have a few Stampin' Up Butterfly Stamp sets as well as matching dies and punches.  I also took out some Stampin' Up oldies from my collection.....  Everyday Enchantment DSP and Peach Stitch Poly Ribbon.

I hope Judy and the others in our sisterhood like my card!

Friendship on SCS

Here is my card for the February mystery image group.  Tracie sent us this great image and sentiment by Two Paper Divas.  She said this image is in honor of the friendships that she has made through Splitcoast Stampers.  Tracie said she is lucky to have so many friends from SCS.  I am lucky to consider Tracie a friend as well as so many others on SCS.  I have been extremely lucky to have met quite a few ladies in person from SCS--from New Hampshire, Connecticut, Arizona, Alaska, Texas, Illinois, Minnesota and a number from Wisconsin!  And, I would love to meet Tracie and others from this group in person too!

I think this image is very cute and I get to send it to Tracie.  I hope she thinks I did an okay job!

Next month, Joanna is our hostess and I cannot wait to see what fun image she has picked out.  So--we all get to create another round of cute cards!

Finally Complete!

The day has finally arrived....................  I have completed the last card kit from the 2015 group on SCS that Jeanette organized.  Jeanette asked us to post our likes or requests for the ladies who make the monthly kits--and I posted that I would like an image or two from their favorite company.  I sure received a variety of images and many people wrote a note about the company!

The final card was made from the card kit sent by Jeanette.  She sent me three snowman images along with some great patterned paper and fun embellishments.  This was a fun kit to play with--not just because it was the last one, but it had some sweet images!  I hope I did OK and that Jeanette likes my card.  I am up in June for the new round of this card kit group--I sure hope it does not take me 4 months to make the cards again!

Dueling Darlings Challenge

If you are looking for my Melonheadz Challenge or TCCCB Card, please scroll down!  It is a 3-peat day!

It is the 15th of the month and that means we get to show off a new Dueling Darlings challenge. For the February Challenge, Paola and Kadie are the Darlings who decided on the theme.  Paola is a Darling and Kadie is a Diva, my team!

The theme or challenge they picked is "Being a Kid at Heart".  This is what Kadie wrote for the Divas:  For this theme you are to use your kit to create a kid card or project.  Paola came up with the idea for you to use at least 1 heart on your card and gift it to a child in your life (family, friend, neighbor, etc.). Kadie provided a few heart brads to help with the first requirement. The card/project can be any occasion to suit the child that you have in mind. Lastly, you are invited to share what your favorite game as a kid was. Maybe it is still your favorite! Thanks for joining in on the fun this month!

Here is the inside of my card:

Hmmmmm--favorite game as a kid. I think it was rummy and I still love to play card games--rummy included!

I hope Kadie and the other Darlings enjoy my card.

Unidentified Image Revealed!

This is the card for the 24th round of the Unidentified Image swap on SCS.  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--that is today!   The images for this round were provided by Carol.  She will swap the cards and include the next image that Laura Jean, our next hostess, provides in our return envie.  And then we get to do it all again--for round #25!!!

The image that Carol sent is from one of my favorite companies that make me laugh--Art Impressions.  Their "old people" line of stamps are just a hoot!  I added a bit of sparkle on the icing on the cake as I used a new marker that I recently got from my friend Jeanette.

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations today or in the next few days.  I hope Carol and the others in this swap like my card!
