Time to Throw Confetti

 

Today is the day I am posting my card for our One Plus Twelve challenge in 2026.  This is year number 8.  For this challenge, we are to use just one stamp, to make a card every month and post on the 3rd of each month.  For this year, I picked a Pinkfresh Studio set called Amazing Things.  The set includes a stamp set, matching dies, a 5-piece stencil set and a better press set. I am excited that I get to use this set every month for all of 2026 and have so many options.   

For my card this month, I am going with a few nontraditional ink blended colors.  I used the press plate with gold hot foil for the image.  I then brush blended the image with the stencil set using shades of blue and purples with Taylored Expression inks.    I then die cut the floral image with the matching die and layered 3 times.  I picked a Pinkfresh Studio Die set called Elongated ovals and taped two together to make an oval frame. The background is a Taylored Expressions Embossing Folder called Garden Trellis. The sentiment is from a Pinkfresh Studio Foiled Sentiment pack.   I added some Pinkfresh Studio Metallic Pearls-Gold around the image, inside the oval.

Today is the 12th and it is time for another Hot Mess card.   This card is #82, so we are into year #8. The idea of Hot Mess ~ Success is to Get Messy and you will have Success!  Messiness can be almost anything that we come up with--glitter, alcohol inks, glimmer glitz, sponged backgrounds, etc., anything that is a bit messy.  We are a very fun group and will post a card each month on the 12th.  The links to the other members are on my left side bar and I will also link them at the bottom at this post.

For my messiness this month, I used some Creative Expressions Pastes--Summer Sky Poal Polish and Frosty Sparkle Kiss Glitter Kiss. I used a Simon Says Stamp stencil called Confetti. I made another panel with white cardstock and used both of the colors of paste.  I then picked a Toffee panel and had some of the Frosty Sparkle still on the stencil and added more of the Summer Sky, so it is a combination of both colors.  I then picked a fun die set from Pretty Pink Posh called Celebrate and Shadow.   I die cut the word Celebrate from Gumball as I thought it matched the sparkly confetti and also used that as a layer behind the Toffee cardstock. The backer was cut from Blueberry and this is also the card base.  The added sentiment is from my stash.  No Bling was added to the card.

This card will be posted later today on Instagram for a hop called Fans of Taylored Expressions! I love Taylored Expressions and many of my friends also do.  So--I wanted to join a group that loves them!!! And, I found my people!  The hop is always the third Saturday of every month. 

The theme for March is to make a monochromatic.  I have lots of TE supplies and I really like white on white cards, so that is what I went with.  I used quite a dew new to me items.

I decided to use just Taylored Expressions dies and embossing folders on my card. I picked two fun embossing folders--Swiss Dots and Shout Out Birthday to make a birthday card. I used the Swiss Dots for a full panel layer on the card base.  I die cut two panels from the fun die set called All Planned Out 3. I embossed the top panel with the Shout Out Birthday Folder.  I then went with the Celebrate Script and Backer die for the words on the birthday panel.  I added a heart from the All Planned Out 3 set along with some white twine  I added a few Taylored Expressions Bits & Pieces Glossy White dots for the final touch!

This hop on Instagram happens every month on the 3rd Saturday with different themes.   I know I will be back hopping in April!

 Happy New Year--Welcome to 2026!

These 3 shiny cards are from the December Fun Time Thursday by The Paper Cut.  The class was called New Year/Celebrate.

The cards were full of sparkle and shine with glitter cardstock, metallic cardstock and holographic cardstock too!  Sarah sent additional sentiments so we could make other themed cards, but I went with New Years type cards. All of the dies and stamp sets are from Brass & Bliss.

Fun with Ink Cubes

 

Today I am posting two cards that I recently made from a virtual event by The Paper Cut back in February called Fun with Mini Ink Cubes.  These are not my own designs!  The cards are the designs of Sarah from The Paper Cut. 

The products for both of these cards are from Brass & Bliss or The Paper Cut. All of the beautiful cardstock is also from The Paper Cut. For the oval card, I used Gina K Designs Masking Magic and die cut an oval to ink blend.  The sentiment was from my stash.  The celebrate card was done by dragging 3 ink cubes along the debossed side of the panel to ink the background and leave the flowers white.   I added my own enamel dots on both cards.

New Day Cards

 

Today is the day of May and I am posting a set of cards for our challenge-The Catch-up Club!  A few of my stamping friends, Darlene, Jeanette and Terry along with myself, have signed up for a number of virtual stamping events in the past 4+ years.  One of the benefits of these events are that they are available to rewatch or even watch for the first time at a later date as they are all recorded. The 4 of us "try" to watch live and chat by texting during the event.  But, life steps in and there are times when one or more of us are not participating during the live.  Then, the kits from sponsors sits in our stamping area until we are ready to watch the video and create.  During one of the events, we decided we needed to push ourselves (and each other) to get some of these events done!   So--we all decided to devote one day a month, the last day of the month for the somewhat procrastinators that we are, to post cards we missed making.  So--here we are in our 17th month of The Catch Up Club!

The set of 3 cards were created by Christopher of  Brutus Monroe.  The set is called New Day and includes a stamp set, coordinating dies, a stencil and some rub-ons that work with all of them.

This month the creations are from the SCT Celebrations Delivered and this Cathy Zielske's class.  This virtual class was in February 2024, so I am slowly catching up.  There is another SCT class this February and of course I signed up!

This kit came with a sweet stamp set, 40 dies, 3 stencils and all of the needed cardstock. This kit included many items to celebrate milestones--like a new home, graduation, new baby, wedding, etc.  It was an amazing kit and the class by CZ was so fun! 

 

This is the last class from this event to make!!!!!  Yay, it feels so good to have another event done!  Now, I have parts of other virtual events and classes from 2023 and 2024 that need to be completed.  And, I have 3 events coming up in February and I am able to watch one live. I am already way behind, so more Catch Up to Come!

Always Smiling

 

On Friday night, I participated in a virtual Pinkfresh Studio even, taught be Lea and Heather that was sponsored by Cobblestone Creek Studio from Oregon. I ordered the kit for the class and it also came with the main stamp, stencil and die set called Always Smiling.  Of course I also added on the coordinating press plate.  Leslie, the owner, put together an amazing kit--panels already stamped and heat embossed along with two panels die cut with a cover plate.  She also die cut the two gold frames and included a little bag of gems!  I actually was able to craft along and made both of the sweet cards. It felt amazing to complete them during the class and not have another kit sitting on my shelf, waiting to be tackled!

This was a very fun evening of crafting. I did place another order yesterday from Leslie as she gave us a discount on any Pinkfresh Studio items.  And, it has already shipped!  I know I will order from Cobblestone Creek Studios in the future and would love to see this store in person someday!
