Hope your Birthday is a Hoot

This is one of the two cards I made for Jeanette's Current Swap on SCS--Frolicking in the Forest.  I came up with the theme for this round and I am sure Jeanette is planning to ship a huge box full of prizes to me...........

I love being in Jeanette's swaps--for the swap cards, the friendship and the bantering that goes on all the time!  The theme this round was to make cards showing animals or people who frolic or play in the forest.  I am sure owls play--all the time!

I used one of my Sizzix Stampin' Up texture plates as I wanted a more muted look, rather than a deeper embossed look.  I like the way it turned out and think I need to use them more often.......
