Final CAS Card

Today is the 16th week of A Card a Week Challenge. One card a week--for 52 weeks--with a preset challenge for each month. April is making a CAS--Clean and Simple, card.  Every Tuesday, I will post a card that fits the theme of the monthly challenge. This is my final card for April, the month of CAS cards.  May is embossing, so be sure to come back!

This card is a very easy CAS card, using this sweet Christmas die that I have no idea where I got it from.  I don't think I have ever used it, so that is another reason to do these weekly challenges--use my toys! I used some adhesive sheets on the back of the foil before I cut it so it would stick better to my cardstock.  I embossed the top layer of Cherry Cobbler with the Stampin' Up Subtle Folder to give it a bit of texture  I think this card turned out pretty and it meets the CAS challenge!

Here is the inside of my card, with a strip of the gold foil:

I hope you will stop back each Tuesday to see my creation for my A Card a Week Challenge!  May is Embossing--stop in to see what I create!

Button and Orange

Today is the day I post a project for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 28th month of de-stashing-we are in our 3rd year into our challenges.

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Jen posted our March challenge--Use orange and a button on our card.

I used a stamp that I often use for Thank You cards I also used some fun Stampin' Up designer series paper that highlights the color Orange!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards today or in the next few days.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSAPR.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For May, Jeanette is up and we already know our theme.  Be sure to check back to see what we create!

Black and White CAS

Today is the 15th week of A Card a Week Challenge. One card a week--for 52 weeks--with a preset challenge for each month. April is making a CAS--Clean and Simple, card.  Every Tuesday, I will post a card that fits the theme of the monthly challenge. I have one more card next week for April, the month of CAS cards and think I have done okay.   I do struggle with these cards as I love layers!

This card is a pretty easy CAS card, using two dies from Gina Marie Designs.  I love her dies--they are quite affordable, there are many styles available and shipping is fast!  I went with a black and white theme--using a large image from Stampin' Up, framed by two dies.  I think this card turned out pretty and it meets the CAS challenge!

Here is the inside of my card, with a strip of Washi tape:

I hope you will stop back each Tuesday to see my creation for my A Card a Week Challenge!  There will be one more CAS card in April, so please come back.

Creative Card Chicks

First--Happy Easter to all of my blogging friends!

This is my card for April's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.

Kelly H. the hostess this month and sent everyone this great spring image for us to make a Thinking of You or Sympathy card. She also sent pretty patterned paper along with other cute embellishments.  Kelly also embossed a couple of strips of cardstock so that is on the bottom of my card.

Here is the inside of my card, with one of the sentiments Kelly sent:

The Creative Card Chicks are to post our cards between the 21st and 23rd of each month--so if you check the blogs on my sidebars, you may see more of these wonderful creations! Many of our members also post their card in our SCS thread--so you might find more there.  We will be back next month and Joyce is the hostess, so be sure to come back and join us again in May!

You Light Up My Life

For this round, I was matched with Pam and received a cute image and sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy. She also included some great patterned Christmas paper and I picked the Buffalo Check! I added some red enamel dots and real red ribbon.   I hope Pam and the others like my card!
