Naughty or Nice?

Today I am showcasing a card I made with a Christmas kit that I received from Tammy for our Christmas Crazy group on SCS.  This was a replacement kit she sent me back in May as the first one had not arrived. But--the day after I received this kit, the first kit also arrived.  I made two cards with that kit and posted them yesterday, so please check back.

Tammy sent me these sweet images from Recollections and I colored them with my Copic Sketch Markers. I added some Lawn Fawn glitter to the hats of both of these cuties!  The background paper is by Doodlebug's Christmas Town line--it is so dang sweet!  I think this card is cute--Naughty or Nice!

Here is the inside of my card, with a sentiment from the same set and more of the cute patterned paper!

I like this card and hope you and Tammy does too.

Christmas Wreaths

Today I am showcasing 2 cards I made with a Christmas kit that I received from Tammy for our Christmas Crazy group on SCS.  This was a kit she sent me back in May and I am finally getting to posting my cards!  She sent me this cute wreath image from Anna Griffith.

Tammy stamped the image in both red and green, so I made a card with both images!  I used some of my circle dies to cut the images. The background paper by Miss Kate Cuttables was also sent by Tammy and I love the patterns.  I added some red enamel dots and green twine on the green buffalo plaid and just a layer of red behind the red wreath. I think this are pretty cards--simple yet sweet!

Here is the inside of my card, with a Crafty Addicts sentiment that Tammy also sent:

Happy Birthday To You!

Today is the day I am posting my cards for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 56th month of de-stash and we are in the middle of our 5th year of our challenges.

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Maggie posted our August challenge--Just use dies or punches on your card--no stamping!

I recently saw a set of cards that used just a die and some patterned paper for a fun card.  I can always use birthday cards, so I thought this would be a fun time to make a few--like 6!  I first picked some fun birthday paper from Bella Blvd and the Little Boy line called Toadilly Cool.  These frogs are headed to a birthday as they have their party hats on, carrying presents and they have their birthday balloons!  I picked my Lawn Fawn Giant Happy Birthday to You die, cut it three times from Pumpkin Pie and layered for added dimension.   I did not add any embellishments as I felt the background patterns were enough!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards in the next few days. There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSAUG.  You might see many cards there if you do a search.  They probably will be posted today or in the next few days.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For September, Jeanette is up for our challenge.  Be sure to check back to see what we create then!

Garden Gnome

Today I am showing you a card for my monthly challenge for 2021--At Home With Gnomes. Each month I will create a card using one of my many gnome images.

For this card, I picked a gnome and sentiment set from Newton's Nook called Gnome Garden-and it comes with matching dies for the three gnomes along with the additional items!  I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and die cut the gnome out. I layered the image on a die cut from Dare 2B Artzy Rectangle Fancy Framelits.   The background is a fun paper from The Paper Loft Back Country-Call of the Wild.   I picked a fun sentiment from the same set.   I added some linen thread behind the sentiment and a few tan enamel dots for the final touch!

Here is the inside of my card:

I am sure I have more than enough gnome images to use a different one each month.  I will be back in September and will show you another gnome, so stay tuned!

Daisy Bouquet

This is my card for the 57th round of the UIS--Unidentified Image Swap on SCS.  Yes, the 57th round!  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted.   The image for this round was provided by Jody!  She will swap the cards and include the next image that Janet sent in our return envie. And then we get to do it all again--for round #59--in October!

Jody sent everyone this beautiful Taylored Expressions floral image called Daisy Bouquet.  She sent us two versions of the image--one stamped on a quarter sheet of cardstock and the other die cut-so we got choices!  I went with the die cut image.  She included 2 sentiment in the mailing from the same set.  I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  It was so fun to color up all of these sweet flowers.  I layered the vase over a panel embossed with Stampin' Up's Pinewood Planks Dynamic Folder.  I die cut this panel along with the sun panel from Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2 & 3.  I added some Stampin' Up Linen Thread along with some orange enamel does for the final touch!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations--due date is today, the 18th--or they may post in the upcoming days. You can also check out SCS and use the keyword UIS57 to see some posted there.  I hope everyone in the swap likes my card--and that you do too!

Love is Kindness

Today is the third Wednesday of the month--so this is my Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card! The 3 of us, Kelly, Jeanette and me, are back with another challenge for August, our 52nd month!  That means we are into year #5 for us-WOW!

I provided the challenge for us this month: Woodstock!

Today is August 18th and that was the last day of Woodstock in 1969 (no, I was not in attendance…)   So—the theme is the word Woodstock.  You can think of the 60’s and go that route.  Or music and create a project with that theme.  Or, use part of the word Woodstock and make wood your theme.  Your Card—Your Project—Your Choice!

Have Fun Creating!

I hope you have fun with the theme. Ready Set Go!

I picked the Wood theme and chose my Stampin' Up Pinewood Planks Dynamic Embossing Folder.  I then used Early Espresso ink and brayered it on the embossing folder before placing Early Espresso cardstock in it.  I like the bit of dark color it added to the woodgrain.  I then picked one of my favorite retired Stampin' Up stamps called Love is Kindness, stamped it with the same Early Espresso in on Very Vanilla cardstock and colored with my Copic Sketch markers.  I think Woodstock was all about Kindness and Love--lots of love from what I heard.......................  I also believe the flowers were a significant part of that time period.  I added some linen thread behind the image and a few tan enamel dots as the added touches.

I think my card is fun and reflects Woodstock in a number of ways.

Here is the inside of my card, with a strip of washi tape:

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card. Jeanette is up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in September.

The Wild, Wild West

Today is the 15th and the day we post our card for our group, the Crafty Card Ladies!   The team names are the Pearls and the Diamonds--very Classy names for us!   For our August Challenge, Suzy is the hostess for the Diamonds and her sister Debby is the hostess for the Pearls.  I am a member of the Diamonds group.  And we are all team Classy Card Ladies!

The theme for August is The Wild, Wild West!  This fun kit that Suzy sent included this funny Cowboy Cat image from The Graphic Word along with some of the coordinating sweet sentiments-I did not use one.   She also include some awesome patterned paper, some fun ribbons and pretty embellishments.

I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I layered the image and used two of the fun patterned papers for a circle and rectangle layer, cut with Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2 and 3--and layered with a piece of colored cardstock.  The background is a piece of the wood plank patterned paper.   I then added some of the fun linen trim behind the image in the circle--think Lasso!  I added some of the sweet enamel dots that Suzy included.  This was fun card to make!

Here is the inside of my card, with a strip of the fun plank patterned paper:

I hope all of the Classy Card Ladies enjoy my card this month. Please be sure to stop in to see what all of the Diamonds as well the Pearls have created this month.  There are two members who do not have blogs: Suzy who is on the Diamond team and Debby who is a Pearl. You will be able to check out their creations in their SCS gallery, if you click on the link for their name.  All of the others should be found on my left sidebar.  I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful creations this month!  See you next month in September when Tracie and I am the hostesses!

Ken Oliver Color Bursts

Today is the 12th and it is time for another Hot Mess card.  This is card number 25 and this is the first card for year #3. The idea of Hot Mess ~ Success started with Kelly and the general theme is to Get Messy and you will have Success!  Messiness can be almost anything that we come up with--glitter, alcohol inks, glimmer glitz, sponged backgrounds, etc., anything that is a bit messy.  We are a group of 6 and we will post a card each month on the 12th.  The links to the other 5 members are on my left side bar and I will also link them at the bottom at this post.

For this month's messiness, I made two backgrounds with Ken Oliver Color Burst.  I have three sets of these and have used them only once or twice before.  For this background, I used blue, yellow and green on Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock.  I die cut the colorful background with my Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2 and layered over a piece of Silver Sparkle Cardstock.   I then die cut the Lawn Fawn Happy Birthday to You from the same silver cardstock from The Paper Cut, along with Stampin' Up's Brilliant Blue.  I layered the blue over the silver and offset a bit to allow the silver to show.  I added a few Studio Katia Satin Rainbow Confetti for the final touch!   I really like the look of this card and hope you do too.

Here is the inside of my card:

Here are the links to the other members of Hot Mess ~ Success.  Please be sure to check out Jeanette's, Terry'sKelly's , Carol's and Darlene's blogs. I am sure you will enjoy seeing how everyone got messy and was successful in making some great cards!   We will all continuing this year, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on September 12th.

Sending Big Hugs

This is my August card for the monthly themed swap that Terry is hosting on SCS. Each month she will post a theme and we make cards using any stamp set we believe follows that thought. This is our 63rd month and the theme for August is "Shine on--use a metallic accent".

I have not used this new die from Lawn Fawn called Giant Sending Big Hugs and thought it was perfect for this theme.  I die cut it from The Paper Cut Festive Metallic cardstock and layered three times. The background is a very fun pattern from Stampin' Up's See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper Pack. I added a few Taylored Expression Gold Drip Drops as the final touch and another metallic accent.  I think this is a fun card.

Here is the inside of my card, with a strip of the patterned paper.

I hope Terry and the others swappers like my card this month too! Terry has already posted the September theme and the ones for the rest of the year.  Be sure to come back in to see what we create!

For The Love of Chocolate

Today is the 10th and the day we are to post our Stamp What? challenge with the three collaborators you have seen many times in the past--Kelly, Jeanette and me! We started this in January of 2020, so we are now well into our second year of this fun challenge.  Kelly came up with the challenge to randomly pick a Stampin' Up set and make a card with that set.  Get the dust off of those forgotten Stampin' Up sets!

I decided when this group challenge started to only use the wooden Stampin' Up stamps that are on my bottom shelves.  So this month, I randomly picked the For The Love of Chocolate set!  The year on the stamps is 2002, so it will be 20 years old next year.  This is one set I will never part with!

I stamped the huge candy Kiss with Basic Gray and fussy cut it out.  I layered it on a circle I die cut from Gina Marie Designs Cross Stitched Circles.  The patterned paper in the background is from a Stampin' Up 6x6 pack called Have A Cuppa--I love the the tiny hearts.  There is a layer of Bindakote Silver Cardstock to give the card a bit of shine!  I added some silver elastic cording under one of the sentiments from the same set.   A few Taylored Expressions Black Drip Drops complete the card.

Here is the inside of my card, with a strip of the patterned paper:

I like the look of my card this month and I hope you do too.  Be sure to check out Jeanette and Kelly's cards.  I am sure they have some fun cards with those "oldies but goodies" stamp sets by Stampin' Up!  And be sure to check back every month on the 10th to see what we create!

Mermazing!

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the sweet image that Kelly sent out for August for Card #84!  All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month and we hope that it continues for a long time!  I am up for the September challenge, so be sure to come back to see what we create!

For our card this month, Kelly sent out this sweet image from Neat & Tangled called Mermazing--it sure is dang cute!  Some of the images were die cut and she also sent some coordinating sentiments!  I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.   I then took a piece of aqua Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes from the 6x6 pack and die cut a few "waves" with some My Favorite Things Stitched Basic Edges.  I then layered the waves over another piece of a blue from the same paper pack. The sentiment was placed in the corner.  I then placed the sweet mermaid between the waves and added a few sequins for the bling!  I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is the link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  They may post today or tomorrow, so be sure to check out their blogs for their card!   As I mentioned before, I am up for our September challenge.  Please be sure to join us again.
