Make Lemonade!

This is my June card for the monthly themed swap that Terry is hosting on SCS. Each month she will post a theme and we make cards using any stamp set we believe follows that thought. This is our 61st month and the theme for June is "Apple of My Eye or Any Other Fruit".

I went with a fun, older wood mounted stamp from Penny Black Stamps for the image and a Serendipity Stamp Sentiment!   I colored the image and sentiment with my Copic Sketch markers.  The background is a fun, embossed folder from We R Memory Keeper called Geometric.  I die cut the sentiment and the layer behind from my Stampin' Up Layering Circle Dies. I added a strip of Stampin' Up Daffodil Delight Grosgrain Ribbon for a banner under the circle.  I think this is a fun card.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Terry and the others swappers like my card this month too! Terry has already posted the July theme and the ones for the rest of the year.  Be sure to come back in to see what we create!

Thank You Friends!

This is my June Crafters of Faith card.  This is a great group that my friend Kelly started on SCS.  She hosted for 5 years and now Faith has taken over for year #6. We will continue as we have in the past with each month a new hostess gives us a scripture and challenges us to make a card with that theme.  Faye is the hostess this month and gave everyone this challenge:

Scripture and Challenge:  Colossians 1:3-14 This is scripture that reminds me of abundance in my life of people who have encouraged me to grow in the LORD over the years, of the people who God has used to guide me, for them I am thankful. Do they know I am thankful? Some do, some don't. Make a card or project that you can mail to a person for whom you are thankful that God put into your life (so not biologically!) and let them know the importance God has used of their life for yours. Anything goes.

I am so thankful for many friends in my life and this sweet stamp by Stampendous called The Peanuts Gang is just perfect for this month's challenge!  This is a very old wooden stamp and the date on it is 2002.  I inked up the stamp with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black and colored it with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I die cut the image with a Whimsy Stamps Stitched Rectangles.  The sweet little sentiment is from Stamps by Judith and I used my retired Stampin' Up tag punches!  The background is a Stampin' Up Embossing Folder called Hammered Metal. I added some red enamel dots on the card.  I really like the look of this card!

I hope you and the others from the Crafters of Faith group like my card this month!  We are to post on the 7th of each month, so if you look on my sidebar, you may see other creations.  I know that there will be many posted in the COF thread on SCS too!

B is for Bunnies

This is my March card for the monthly themed swap that Terry is hosting on SCS. Each month she will post a theme and we make cards using any stamp set we believe follows that thought. This is our 58th month and the theme for February is "Starts With-use an image that starts with the letter of your first name".

I decided to use some sweet Bunnies! I picked one of my sweet stamps from Whipper Snapper Designs called Easter Bunny Trio.  The sentiment is an older wood stamp from Stampendous called Hoppy Wishes.   I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I picked a fun Easter Egg patterned paper from the Doodlebug Easter Parade line called Colored Eggs.  I added Stampin' Up 1/8" Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon under the sentiment and three white enamel dots.  I think this is a fun card.
