Friday's With The Project Bin

It is Friday, so  that means that I am back with another card for The Project Bin Stamps--A Way With Words!  Every Friday,  I post a card made from one of their great photopolymer stamp sets.  So, please plan to come back each week to see what I have created--I think you too will love these great sentiment stamp sets.  And, remember, some of the sets come with matching steel dies! Denise is the owner, founder and creator of these wonderful stamp sets.  The sentiments she has for us to ink up are just perfect for any holiday or time of year.  Please be sure to go and check them out!

I am so excited to see what great stamp sets Denise has in mind for the future.  I am sure she will have some wonderful sentiments for us to ink up and for you to consider purchasing!  I just know you too will love creating cards with these stamp sets!!!

If you want to check out more creations from the design team, be sure to check out The Project Bin Blog as often as you can.  Every day there is a different card posted by one of more of the design team members.

I used one of my favorite stamp sets--Many More.  This set comes with 10 great sentiment and image stamps, that can be used for almost any occasion--birthdays baby, thanks, congrats, etc..  I think these colors go perfect with the Thank You sentiment!

Here is Many More stamp set:

National Hamburger Day!

Today is the day I post a project for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 29th month of de-stashing-we are in our 3rd year into our challenges.

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Jeanette posted our May challenge--Use May 28th is National Hamburger Day.  We are to use a hamburger or other food for our card.

I did not find a hamburger stamp in my stash--but I knew I had a digital image with one.  I was on the Melonheadz Design Team for a few years and I have quite a selection of their sweet images.  I used three from the Bar B Que 13 set!  I love their images!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards today or in the next few days.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSMAY.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For June, Maggie is up and I am sure we will have another fun theme.  Be sure to check back to see what we create!

Merry Christmas Embossed

This is the 20th week of A Card a Week Challenge. One card a week--for 52 weeks--with a preset challenge for each month. May is embossing month--using my Big Shot or my heat gun.  Every Tuesday-or Sunday, I will post a card that fits the theme of the monthly challenge. This is the final card for May and I used heat embossing for a Christmas card.

I made this card with a great sentiment from Gina K Designs called Noel.  I used gold embossing powder and cut it out with a Gina Marie die called Cross Stitched Circles.  I layered over some gold vellum from a retired Stampin' Up paper pack called Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum.  I really like the look of this card and hope you do too.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope you will stop back each Tuesday to see my creation for my A Card a Week Challenge!  This is the last embossed card for May.  June is "try a new technique" month--so that will be a new challenge every month.  I might edit it a bit to "try a technique I have not done in many years.........."

Shout Out to Denise!

This is a different kind of post today as I am not sharing a card, but it is stamping related!

I want to share some excitement and tell you of a great crafty company. I few months ago I found an online place that makes covers that fit over a Scan n' Cut. There were some fun fabrics to chose from and it is made reversible so you get to pick two patterns if you cannot make a decision! I was excited to get one and cover my machine--just to keep out the dust. I try to spend as much time getting inky instead of cleaning...............................

I was so happy with the cover when I received it, I asked Denise, the creator, if she made covers for a Big Shot. I have never covered any cutting machine--not my first Cuttlebug 15 years ago nor the two Big Shots I have had since then. But, I loved the first cover so much, I wanted a coordinating one!  Denise said she had never made one, but would try. Fast Forward to last week and I received a sweet cover in the mail. It is the same creative fabric on one side and a similar coffee pattern on the other side. I love all three of the patterns.  They are bright and cheerful--they make me smile when I walk into my stamp room.  The Big Shot cover is not listed on her site yet--she is going to add it later this year.  But, if you wanted one, I think she might be able to help you out.  So--here is some pictures and links if anyone is interested. Please let her know that I sent you over.

Denise makes covers for Misti's and Cricut Machines too along with other types bags and totes. Her daughter Suzanne, was the creator of So Suzy Stamps and got to know Illiana, of My Sweet Petunia-the maker of the Misti stamp platform, quite well. That is how all of this started. Enjoy.

These are my "bare" machines

These are two of the coffee fabrics
These are the reverse side, with the creative pattern!

Thanks for looking at these and maybe you too might want to check them out.  Bare machines are not fun......................

Creative Card Chicks

This is my card for May's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.

Joyce is the hostess this month and sent everyone this great Texan image for us. She also sent some patterned paper along with other cute embellishments.  It was a fun image to color up and I hope that I was able to "channel my inner Texan!"

Here is the inside of my card, with the cactus washi tape that Joyce sent:

The Creative Card Chicks are to post our cards between the 21st and 23rd of each month--so if you check the blogs on my sidebars, you may see more of these wonderful creations! Many of our members also post their card in our SCS thread--so you might find more there.  This is the final month is this round and I have signed up for another year.  Suzy is up for next month so be sure to come back and join us again in June!

Tin Tile Card

This is the 19th week of A Card a Week Challenge. One card a week--for 52 weeks--with a preset challenge for each month. May is embossing month--using my Big Shot or my heat gun.  Every Tuesday, I will post a card that fits the theme of the monthly challenge. This is the third card for May and I used one of my favorite Stampin' Up embossing folders--Tin Tile Dynamic.  I used some Tim Holtz silver foil for the background.

This card was a pretty easy card to make. I love this embossing folder. and I especially love the look when foil paper is used.  I also inked up a newer Stampin' Up set--Strong and Beautiful.  I really like the sentiments in this stamp set!  I need a few graduation cards and I think this one would be great for my great niece as she graduates from college.  I like the look of this card and hope you do too.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope you will stop back each Tuesday to see my creation for my A Card a Week Challenge!  I will continue to make cards, using embossing for May.  I do have one more Tuesday and then it is on to June!  That is "try a new technique", so there will be a good challenge each week!

Time to Shine

I am very late with posting this card as it was to be posted last Tuesday.  But, I did get it done and it is here today!  This is the 18th week of A Card a Week Challenge. One card a week--for 52 weeks--with a preset challenge for each month. May is embossing month--using my Big Shot or my heat gun.  Every Tuesday-or Sunday, I will post a card that fits the theme of the monthly challenge. This is the second card for May and I used the Tim Holtz Pocket Watches embossing folder.

This card was a pretty easy card to make. I had a  vision of what I wanted and just needed to find the right stamps to match my embossing folder. I need a few graduation cards and I think this will be a good one.  I like the look of this card and hope you do too.

Here is the inside of my card, with some vintage washi tape:

I hope you will stop back each Tuesday to see my creation for my A Card a Week Challenge!  I will continue to make cards, using embossing for May.  I do have one done for this coming Tuesday!

Wild, Wild West

This card is for a Mystery Swap on SCS. A group of us do a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same mystery image, sent to us by the hostess. This swap was created by Forest Ranger—Jeanette and we are now in our 52nd round!  Vickie is our hostess this month and she sent everyone this great masculine image from a long retired Stampin' Up stamp set. Vickie will swap the cards and send everyone the next image, which Terry picked out! We then get to do it all again, for round #53, in July!   I colored just his bandanna and left the rest of the cowboy's image uncolored.  I added some plaid and patterned paper to coordinate with the green color.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope all of the mystery swappers like my card.  If you check my sidebar on the left, you might see some other swappers who have posted their cards today or in the next few days.
