A Friday Flashback

If you are a frequent reader of my blog, you know this past year, every Friday is a card from The Project Bin.  The owner an founder Denise is on vacation this week and has given the design team off.  But, it felt strange to not have a card posted today, so I looked back and found one of my first TPB cards.  I made this after my friend Kelly introduced me to the company and I loved many, many of their stamp sets.   I had bought a couple sets to play with and they have matching dies for some of their sets, including this one--Kinda Pawsome!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope you enjoy my look back at a fun card from a great company.  Please be sure to check out The Project Bin and help a small business grow!

Final Card Kit Card

This is my final card from my January card kit group.  My wish list theme for the month was anything to do with friendship and I received 11 awesome kits during the month.  This is card kit #11, from Linda.

Linda sent a sweet kit as it included this great die-cut card and coordinating patterned papers for the circle flip card.  The cute images were from Stampin' Up and she also included some wonderful embellishments! I hope that Linda and my other friends like my creation.

Thanks for a great kit Linda--it was a fun card to make!

And, I hope you have enjoyed looking at all of my friendship cards from all of the great card kits from my wonderful friends.  I know it took me a few too many months to post them, but I still treasure all of the wonderful memories from a great weekend in January where 6 of my sweet SCS stamping friends came to visit and attend Camp Stamp-in-Oga!   I sure hope that some of them are able to attend one of the camps in 2019!

Down on the Farm

This is my card for the August Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 20th month of de-stashing-a year and a half into our challenges.

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Vickie posted our Augsut challenge--Down on the Farm!  Create a card that has anything you would find on a farm.

I know what you find on a farm as I grew up on one in Central Wisconsin. Of course--you would find a barn! I inked up this Inkadinkadoo image and stamped it on watercolor paper.  I knew it was a large image, so I used my watercolor pencils for a softer look to highlight the image.  And, pretty much every farm also has barbed wire, so I had to use that.  I have a 4 inch scar on the inside of my lower leg that is a forever reminder of the sharp wire on our farm!    This was a fun card to make--thanks Vickie for a fun challenge to use items in my stash!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards today or in the next day or so.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSAUG.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For September, I up and I have already posted our theme.  Be sure to check back to see what we create on the 28th!
