The Grinch!

Today is the 9th of the month and it is now time for another The Three Musketeers post. This round, Jeanette is the hostess and sent out a sweet Grinch image from Crackerbox.  She also sent along a coordinating sentiment. For December this is card #136 and we are now in year #12!  I cannot believe this trio has been going strong for 12 strong years!  AND--we will be continuing in 2026 for year #13!

I colored the Grinch image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I picked a Spellbinders Embossing Folder called Peppermint Stripes for my background.  The sentiment is very large, but I wanted it to be on the front of the card.  I fussy cut the Grinch and added dimensionals behind it and added toward the bottom of the sentiment.  I used Wink of Stella to add some glitter and shine on the fur on his hat and on the shirt.   I added some green enamel dots around the image.   I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is the link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of cute cards!  Jeanette is also up for our January challenge, so please be sure to join us again in 2026.

Christmas in July

Today is the 15th and this is my card for our The Creative Crew!  We are a group of 7 and all one team--Jeanette, Carol, Darlene, Lorraine, Terry, Tracie and me. Each month will be a new challenge posed by one of the members sending out a kit.  This month Jeanette sent everyone a fun Christmas in July kit. She decided after two months of florals, it was time for something cooler!

Jeanette sent everyone this cute image from CC Designs called Green One.  She was so kind as to have some already die cut for us--yay!   She also included a variety of sentiments--one is on the front and the other on the inside of my card.   We also received some fun and very colorful patterned paper.  Of course, she also included some bling along with ribbons.

I wanted to use a few of the colorful papers, so I layered two as my background for the image. I colored one of the die cut grinch images with my Copic Sketch Markers and added some Wink of Stella on the white fur.  I popped it up on the holly background.   I added a piece of the bright green ribbon to the panel.  The sentiment was die cut with a MFT banner die from the Blueprints 27 die set.  I added some bling to the banner and also around the background!  This was fun card to make!

This is the inside of my card with the second sentiment.

I hope all of The Creative Crew Gals enjoy my card this month. Please be sure to stop in to see what fun crafty cards are posted this month.  All of the blogs can be found on my left sidebar.  Our teammate Lorraine does not have a blog, so please check out her card in her SCS gallery.   I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful creations this month!

We will be back in August with the kit Lorraine will be sending out.  Be sure to check in with us on the 15th to see what fun she has planned!

Alex's Florals

Today is the 9th and it is now time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the Magnolia Stellata image from Crackerbox Stamps that Jeanette sent out for our May card, #105! That means we are in the middle of year number 7 with this fun challenge! All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month and we hope that it continues for a long time!

There is a bit of a story behind this pretty image!  This image was designed by a guy named Alex for Crackerbox Stamps and he lives in Ukraine.  He had to leave his house one morning after a nearby explosion and he now lives in a small apartment.  He drew the flowers in the recent release by Crackerbox and the company is donating all of the profits from the sales in April to Alex.  Because of this story and the beautiful image Jeanette sent, I too bought some of these stamps in April.  And, as a side note, they are based less than an hour from my house!

I colored the die cut image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  For the front panel, I cut an oval from a piece of white with a Gina Marie Designs Oval Peekaboo die.  I then die cut the panel with Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2 to get the stitching around the edge.  And, finally, I embossed the panel with a Simon Says Stamp folder called Magnetic 3-D.  I then popped up the panel over the colored image for the look of a frame.  The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp Sentiment set and was die cut with a banner from Gina K Designs.  The entire panel was layered on Certainly Celery and then a white card base, that was embossed with one of my favorite Stampin' Up embossing folders called Subtle Dynamic.  I love the bit of texture it gives to the base. I then added some clear bling around the image and they pick up the colors of the image.   I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is the link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  Please be sure to check back a few days on their blogs as my card is late. Kelly is up for our June challenge--please be sure to join us again.
