Happy 4th of July Swap Card

 

And--here is the third card I made for Jenny's swap on SCS.  I love 4th of July as it was my dad's birthday and we always had a huge picnic on the farm for family and friends.  I have taken on the tradition and we have a great party every year.

This is the second of the three sets of cards I made for a swap on SCS, hosted by Jenny.  The theme was fun holidays and Easter was one of the choices.  Verses is one of my favorite companies for sentiment stamps and this is one of my favorites!  I love to make Easter cards and I found this paper in my stash.

Congrats Card for Monthly Swap

 

This card is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS.  Each month we make 10 swap cards and they can be any theme.  All of the swappers are wonderful and I have gotten some awesome cards back in the past.

I love not Cooking ~ Mystery Swap

 

This card is for a Mystery Swap on SCS.  A group of us are doing a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same mystery image, sent to us by the hostess.  This swap was created by Forest Ranger—Jeanette and we are now in our second cycle.  Jeanette chose this image and will swap the cards and send us the next image, provided by Carol!  I can't wait to get the swap cards back to see how everyone else used the same image.  And then we get to do it all again!!!!

The image was a bit of a challenge for me—but I think it came out pretty nice.  I hope Jeanette as well as the others in the swap like it also.  I wanted to utilize as much of the pizza words on the patterned paper and the image covered most of it up when use as a background.  So—I used the image as a kind of flap and put a piece of the pizza paper, along with the sentiment Jeanette, sent on the inside.

It is the 15^th of the month and that means another Dueling Darlings challenge.  Our hostess this month for the Divas is Laura Jean.  The theme that Terry, the hostess for the Dazzlers and LJ came up with relates to the month of January—Book Blitz Month!

What a fun challenge and LJ sent us loads of fun papers, ribbons and other embellishments to play with—along with some great images.    I was able to use one of all of the cute images she sent on my card.  I do love to read and have both “regular” books as well as digital books going right now.  I am reading Scalpel and the Soul, by Dr. Allan Hamilton on my phone or iPad and then the rather large (944 pages!)Lincoln paperback book—Team of Rivals by Doris Kearns Goodwin.  Both are very, very good.  I think my favorite author is John Grisham……………. I love reading about lawyers!

I recently made three sets of cards for a swap on SCS, hosted by Jenny.  The theme was fun holidays and St. Patrick's Day was one of the choices.  I think these leprechaun boot brads are the cutest!  And—I was also able to use some of my retired Stampin Up shades of green cardstock!

This is the second card that I made for a Valentine swap on SCS that Roxane is hosting.  I think this paper is so pretty—it is from Archivers and I got it a couple of years ago when I went to an event.  I wanted to highlight the paper, so I just added simple hearts as an image.

This is an exciting day for me as I am excited to show you my first card as a member of a design team. My awesome friend Jeanette recommended me to Deanne, the creator of the {PIN}Spirational Challenges, as they had a couple of openings. I am honored to be a part of this team.

I tried to post that Random.Org Generator and was not able to figure out how to do it--I tried a few ways and still did not work.  So--I promise this is the first number that came up--it is #10!  Way to go Judy--a package of stamping and other treats is headed to you this week!

Crafty Gals January Project

 

 

It is the 5^th of the month, so I am back with another challenge of the Crafty Gals!  We are a group of bloggers who have monthly challenges, caring comments & fun chit chat on SCS—our favorite stamping site to visit.

This month we have a few new members and it has been a hectic couple of weeks for all of us.  So, our leader Melina proposed that we post any project we are working on—instead of a specific challenge.  That works for me!
