Dueling Darling Divas September Card---School is Cool!

 Inside of my card:

Here is my card for round #14 of our very friendly duel.

Jamie—cricket3571--is our great hostess for the Divas for September and sent some awesome items for us to play with and create a wonderful card.  April is the hostess for the Dazzlers and they came up the theme—School is Cool!  Kids and teachers are back at school this month and since I was a teacher myself for 33+ years, I know School is Cool!  Jamie asked us to tell of a favorite memory of school--I do not have one specific, but I do remember being in marching band in high school and participating in many parades.  I loved marching, even when it was hot inside those heavy uniforms.  Our band director was outstanding and we did a different half time performance for every home football game--we made many shapes and formations; now it seems schools use the same performance for the entire fall season.

Image/Sentiment— Recollections School Days

Paper—SU Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Bashful Blue, White; Die Cuts With a View—DCWV--Patterned Paper

Ink—Real Red

Accessories—White Sheer Ribbon, Red/White Gingham Ribbon,

Please stop by to see what all of the Divas as well the Dazzlers have created this month.  And be sure to check out what memory each of the Darlings  have from their past.  All of the blogs are on the left sidebar of my blog.

I hope you enjoy looking at our creations!  Thanks for joining us!!!!!!

Totally - THANK YOU Barb for 33 years of outstanding direction for our children! Woot woot! At my 2 dd's HS, it's the band that are the cool kids - lol! Not footballs or the cheerleaders, but the band is what everyone is so proud of :) Your card is fabby! I love the simplicity of it yet it stands out so crisp and clean and just spot on! Love it, Barb! x0x0

Barb, you rocked this! School IS cool, and science is especially cool (IMHO). I really like the backpack and all the layers. All I can say is - all the kids who had you for a teacher were fortunate indeed!
