Enjoy the Ride!

This is card number 6 from the 2015 card kit group on SCS that Jeanette organized.  I received the kits in October and it took me until now to start to make the cards..................  Jeanette asked us to post our likes or requests for the ladies who make the monthly kits--and I posted that I would like an image or two from their favorite company.  I sure received a variety of images and many people wrote a note about the company!

This card was made from a card kit sent by Carol.   She sent this cute Mo Manning image and another one for her "other" favorite company.  She also sent a ton of embellishments and I will use many of them on future cards.

Welcome Baby

This is my card for the monthly themed swap that Makani is now hosting on SCS.  Each month she will post a theme and we make cards using a Stampin' Up set that we believe follows that thought. This is our second month and the theme was "Warm Fuzzies".  I struggled a bit with coming up with a image to use for the theme--but I figured that every baby loves to be snuggled and is a warm fuzzy for all!

I hope Makani and the others swappers like my card this month!  I cannot wait to see what our theme is for February and Makani will post that today!

Blog Candy Winner!

I am late in posting this today, but my computer was in the "shop" the past four days and I just got it back late yesterday afternoon.  I have been playing catch-up and I have quite a few posts to make today.  I was able to spend more time making cards since I did spend as much online..................  typing and reading on an iPad is not as much fun as a laptop!

So--I had five people who commented on my year in review from New Year's Eve Day.  I used random number generator and it picked #3--right in the middle!  Maxine is the winner and this is the card she picked as her favorite.

Maxine--a package of fun stamping things will be headed your way this week.  I hope it does not take too long to go across the world to New Zealand!

Thanks to all who commented and thanks for checking back to see who the winner is!

Have a great weekend!

Live Simply, Laugh Often, Love Snow!

This is a card I made for January's Monthly Challenge for the Girls of the Baker's Dozen.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.  I am the hostess and sent everyone this cute winter image, some snowy patterned paper, wintery embellishments and a few matching sentiments.

This is a perfect image to post today as we have quite the covering of snow!

Here is the inside of my card:

This was a fun kit and Carol is up for the next kit in February--I cannot wait to see what she picks.  Stay tuned...........................

Butterfly Silk

Before reading below, be sure to check out my post from New Year's Eve to see how you might be able to win some Blog Candy!

Here is my card for the January mystery image group.  Imke sent us this stunning image as she went to China for a trip.  She wanted us to make a card with an Asian flair.  I am not sure I have met that challenge, but I think the colors are used are appropriate and I used a butterfly embossing folder to match the image.  I used three layers of black and red ribbons on my card!

Next month, Tracie is our hostess and I cannot wait to see what fun image she has picked out.  So--we all get to create another round of cute cards!

I hope Imke and the others in our group like my card.
