July Calendar Girls--A card without ink?

Welcome to another round with the Calendar Girls!

Who are the Calendar Girls? We are a group of bloggers who want to have a place where friendships blossom, creativity abounds, and encouragement prevails! In keeping with that dream, this blog group has been created so we will have a place to interact and enjoy being fellow bloggers.

This month hostess is our Miss July--Michelle  Here are the directions from the Marvelous Michelle--This month is a free for all....any theme! But.....there is a catch.

Our cards can be created using anything BUT a stamped image (sentiments are okay). Here is where you can get creative...examples would be punch art, stickers, embellishments, patterned paper, whatever you chose.

So, this was a bit of a challenge for me as I rarely make a card without a stamped image.  So, off to check the Patterned Paper bins and found this great paper as well as some stickers I also had in the same spot—Whoopee!  Ready to create!

Cardstock-- Gina K Designs Red Hot, In the Navy; Moxie Red, White & Blue Designer Paper

Accessories—Karen Foster Patriotic Parade Stickers, Blue and White Star ribbon and White Star brads

Please check out the blogs of all of the Calendar Girls—there are 10 of us, so it might take you a bit.   I am sure you will enjoy all of the July creations and how creative the other ladies are without getting inky this month.  All of the blogs are listed on my left sidebar.

I hope you enjoy looking at our cards!  Thanks for joining us!!!!!!!

Dueling Darling Divas July Card---Garden of Friendship

Inside of my card:

Here is my card for round #12 of our very friendly duel.

Laura Jean—LJ--is our great hostess for the Divas for July and sent some awesome items for us to play with and create a sweet card.  Terry is the hostess for the Dazzlers and they came up the theme of Garden of Friendship.  This is for all things found in the garden, especially friendships that grow and grow! As a little extra this month, they would like us to share a friendship we have.  First, I want to say I consider each and every one of the Darlings in our group a friend—even though I have only met three in person (and one will be added to the list by the time this is posted—Debbie!)  We chat and chat in the DDD thread along with other threads on SCS, text and email each other—just like Real Life Friends!!!  On my bucket list is to meet each of the wonderful ladies who are a part of this awesome group!

June Calendar Girls--Hello Summer!

This month hostess is Carol.  Here are the directions from the wonderful Carol--The month of June brings many, many things...it is the beginning of summer for most areas...it is associated with weddings, graduations, picnics, swimming, VACATIONS...a whole bunch of wonderful things...so the task for us should we chose to accept, was this:

1. Make a card or a 3D item or whatever you would like and base it around something that you enjoy doing or plan on doing this summer...ex: a vacation, camping, family picnic, swimming, family reunion....you get the idea...

2. Write a short ditty about why you like or are looking forward to the theme you have on your card, when you post...

I am not sure if I will have the opportunity or not this summer—but I love to float on rafts or tubes on a lake or in a pool and if I have a beverage, even better!  We are headed to Alaska for vacation in July, so I am pretty sure I will not be able to do so there.  But there may be a weekend up north at a friend’s cabin later in the summer.  And, I will not be wearing a bikini!

Stamps--Whipper Snapper Poolside Chicken

Cardstock-- Gina K Designs White; SU Pacific Point, Marina Mist; Best Creations Surfs Up

I hope you enjoy looking at our cards!  Thanks for joining us!!!!!!!

Mystery Swap--Round 5--High Spirits

This card is for a Mystery Swap on SCS.  A group of us are doing a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same mystery image, sent to us by the hostess.  This swap was created by Forest Ranger—Jeanette.  These images were sent to us by Paola, who will swap the cards and send us the next image, provided by Karly!   I can't wait to get the swap cards back to see how everyone else used the same image.  And then we get to do it all again!!!!

This image was fun to color and Paola sent some cute embellishments for us to use too.
