Sophie and her Umbrella

If you are looking for my Crafting When We Can Challenge, please scroll down!

It is the 15thof the month and that means we get to show off another Dueling Darlings challenge.

For February, LJ and Darlene are the Darlings who came up with the challenge and theme for the teams this month.  LJ is a Diva and Darlene is one of the Dazzlers.  This is what LJ wrote for our team as the challenge:

Our theme this month is Umbrellas! Believe it or not, National Umbrella Day is February 10th. Darlene and I thought it would be fun to think spring. since we have seen too much white stuff this winter
I love the cute image LJ sent and I think she bought it at Creative Pals one of the times she visited me!  She also sent along some great embellishments and I wanted to use each of them. I did layer the lace over one of the pieces of ribbon--layers are good!

Here is the inside of my card:

Birthday Boy

This is the card I made for our bi-monthly swap at my local stamp and scrapbook store called Polka Dots, in Mukwonago.  The theme this month is Children. I went with a Melonheadz image, from my digital stash.

I did not use any patterned paper on this card as I thought with the banner, there was enough going on.  So--I used one of my favorite embossing folders.

I hope everyone likes my card!

Unidentified Image Revealed

This is the card for the 16th round of the Unidentified Image swap on SCS.  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--that is today!   The images for this round were provided by Darlene.    She will swap the cards and include the next image that Paola, our next hostess, provides in our return envie.  And then we get to do it all again!!!!

The image that Darlene sent is really cute.  I love Penny Black images and love to color them too.

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations today or in the next few days.  I hope Darlene and the others in this swap like my card!
