Accordion Card

 

Today is the 15th and this is my card this month for our The Creative Crew!  We are a group of 6--Jeanette, Darlene, Lorraine, Terry, Tracie and me. Each month will be a new challenge posed by one of the members sending out a kit. For February, Darlene sent us a kit that was a bit different.  She sent each of us components that she die cut for us using Concord & 9th Accordion Card Base Dies.

Hummmmmmmmmmmmm--what kind of a card???????  Darlene sent some pictures from Concord & 9th that show parts of the card.  There are also some videos on the Concord & 9th site with examples of cards and steps to make them.  I watched a few and decided to get out a fun Taylored Expressions set from a few years ago called Through the Years.  The set also includes dies for the images and I thought it would be the perfect set to use.

I also wanted to use some patterned paper for the front "window" of the card and picked American Crafts Confetti.  I put the die cut layer on the back panel for a bit of color.  I picked 5 stamps from the stamp set and colored them with my Copic Sketch Markers.  Darlene included 2 panels to be used as the layers between the front and back. I trimmed one down to have 3 sets of panels between the accordions.  I placed the colorful images on the 3 levels and added some Taylored Expressions Bits & Pieces Sparkle Party dots around the images.
