Today is the 22nd and it is Double Duty Day! This is the 61st month, so we are now starting our 6th year! More Doubling Up!
Each month, we get to pick a stamp set from a predetermined company. Then, we will use that one stamp set and make two cards from the set. Different images and sentiments from the same set can be used, or use the same image two different ways—Double Duty either way! But, as an added challenge, one item must be used on both cards—same color cardstock, same ribbon, same stencil, same something. Double Duty Again! We will post both cards on our blog on the the 22nd of each month. See-Double Duty again! We will be sure to have fun getting doubly inky each month with a different stamp company. Let’s have fun!
For February, we are back with Stampin' Up. We all probably all started our stamping journey with them and I am still here, 20+ years later!
I picked a sweet stamp set and the coordinating die set called Gorgeously Made. Really the only stamping I did was the sentiments on each card as I used th4e dies for the focal point of the cards. Even the cute spiral edge border is in the die set.
First, for both cards I used a Stampin' Up Embossing folder called Exposed Brick for subtle texture on the background--one of my favorite folders! For the card on the left, the colors are Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla. The DSP strip is Beauty of the Earth. For the card on the right, the cardstock colors are Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon. I added some linen thread under the banner. The sentiments for both cards are in the stamp set and I really like the pennant die included to cut them. I added some enamel dots around the card. This sure is a fun stamp set and I really like the die set. More cards to come!
Please be sure to check out the other Double Duty cards. Here is a link to Jeanette's, Darlene’s, and Terry's blogs. I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of sets of great cards.
Next month we are going to highlight Gina K Designs--one of my favorite companies and she is located less than a half hour from me! So be sure to check out our cards on March 22nd!
