This is the card I made for our bi-monthly swap at my local stamp store called Polka Dots, in Mukwonago.  The theme is time was "Belated Birthday".  What a great theme as it will be fun to see what the other swappers also do!

This is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS. Each month we make 10 swap cards and they can be any theme. All of the swappers are wonderful and I have gotten some awesome cards back in past months.

This month, I am channeling summer to come---Soon!  This card has a pair of sunglasses brad--the other cards had either a starfish or a sand dollar brad.  True signs of summer--right?!

Dueling Darlings ~ It's All About Flowers

It is the 15^thof the month and that means another Dueling Darlings challenge.  It is supposed to be spring--at least that is what the calendar says.  However--the temps here in Wisconsin have been in the 30's and 40's for the last week or so. Our hostesses Tami for the Darlings and Darlene for the Dazzlers, are trying to get us in the mood for those Spring Flowers--that are supposed to follow all of the Spring Showers we have had.  We were to create a card with the wonderful flower image that Tami sent.

I loved all of the papers and embellishments that Tami sent--I wanted to use all of it.  So--I tried in a few spots.  For the ribbons--there are 4 layers--the brown ribbon on the bottom-followed by two layers of green ribbon and then the bakers twine on the side. 

Here is the inside of my card. The embellishments on the inside are also stacked.  There are 5 layers of the punched elements Tami sent, topped by a rhinestone.

 

We are to also share what is our favorite flower.  I have many--but I think lilies are at the top---I love their fragrance and I actually have an Easter Lily in my craft room and can smell it right now!

Unidentified Image ~ A Couple of Cuties

 

This is the card for the 7^th round an Unidentified Image swap on SCS.  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--today!   The images for this round were provided Carol.  She will swap the cards and include the next image that Paola, our next hostess, provides in our return envie.  And then we get to do it all again!!!!

The image the Carol sent was so sweet--and I had to try a new fold that I learned at my demo Sarah's house last month. The card opens like a book and I think it went well with this image!

Crafty Gals CASE card

I used one of my Sizzix Stampin' Up texture plates as I wanted a more muted look, rather than a deeper embossed look.  I like the way it turned out and think I need to use them more often.......
