Making Memories, Celebrating Moments!

It is the 15thof the month and that means another Dueling Darlings challenge. Our hostesses for May are our organizers--Kelly is the boss the Darlings and Jeanette is the Dazzler's leader.
Here is the information that Kelly and Jeanette set up--Since May is traditionally the month of celebrating Mother's Day, many anniversaries, upcoming June weddings, Holy Communions and Confirmations, graduations and so much more, we thought we'd take this time to celebrate the moments that mean so much!  Our theme this month is:
Making Memories, Celebrating Moments!
I loved all of the papers and embellishments that Kelly sent--I wanted to use all of it!  She gave us so many options and I think the image was too cute!

Here is the inside of my card.

Tracie is CASED

It is the 5th of the month, so I am back with another challenge of the Crafty Gals! We are a group of bloggers who have monthly challenges, caring comments & fun chit chat on SCS—our favorite stamping site to visit.

This year our challenges are going to be a bit different. Each month, Melina will chose one of our group to highlight and our challenge is to CASE a card from her blog—or make a card that highlights some of her loves. This month the person to CASE is Tracie!  Here is a link to the card on her blog that I used Tracie

Crafters of Faith ~ Flowers

I have two posts today.  If you are looking for my {Pin}Spirational Challenge Card, please scroll up.

Today is the last day of the month and I am here to welcome you to my Crafters of Faith card! The Crafters of Faith blogging group is a joyous blending of Christian friends ~ joined together to fellowship, share our faith, build friendships and craft together!

This is our April Challenge—as posed by April--no, that is not a mistake

I spent my childhood being called April Showers or even April Flowers.....hence my email address of aflowers.... It would probably be called bullying nowadays, but I seemed to take it all in stride. Because of this moniker, I wanted to highlight a verse which is about Spring. I think this one is apropos!

Leviticus 26:4 - Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

Although my verse does not say flowers explicitly, a plant must flowers before it bears fruit. I would love your card this month to show off flower --- stamps, die cuts, crocheted, etc.! {If you want, you can add rain, but that isn't a necessity.}

Have fun with this verse and the glorious Spring Season!

I love flower stamps and have quite a few.  I got this stamp a year ago when Outline Stamps closed their doors and have not inked it up lately.  I tried to match the colors of the flowers to the colors in the DSP I was planning to use, but I needed to add a few brighter colors to make the image pop!

Here is the inside of my card:

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you do check out the other new creations from the wonderful ladies in the Crafters of Faith group! The blog list is on the left side--please check out all of the cards.

Give me Chocolate

This is my card for our every other month swap for an awesome group of ladies on SCS--the SOTC--Sisters of the Traveling Cards!  Jeanette is our hostess for March and April--she posted the following:

Theme: What’s Cookin’, Sistah?

For your cards this round, I’d like you to go with a cooking, food, recipe theme. You can put an actual recipe on/in your card, if you’d like, but you don’t’ have to. You can use a chef or food stamp/image. Your card can be all about Pizza or Coffee or Burgers Grilling on the Grill. It can be about Cupcakes or Caramel Apples or Ice Cream Treats. (I could go on and on. ) You can use designer papers of cooking utensils or food items. You can add apple brads or teacup charms. You can use recycled kitchen items on your card - bread clips, mesh from apple bags, cardboard from cracker boxes, etc. The ideas are almost limitless.  Use your creativity and make cards that in some way show What’s Cookin’.

Well--I am not sure that candy or specifically M&M's counts as Cookin', but I am sure almost everyone one of the sistahs has a bag of these babies someplace in their house-and maybe one in their stamp room to snack on.  It is a proven fact that stamping and the mojo needed to create cards is enhanced by chocolate!

I hope Jeanette and the other SOTC gals like my card!

And--on a special personal note....................  today I get to hand deliver these cards to Jeanette as she is going to be at my house for a mini-stamping day, along with 4 other stampers! Carol will be here and she is also a member of the SOTC. Terry, LJ and Darlene are the other three ladies who will be here and I have had the pleasure of meeting all of them before. Most of the others have never met and I am so excited for us all to get together!  I am sure we will have a blast making some cards at my house, checking out some local stamping stores, laughing tons and maybe, just maybe, a few bits of chocolate!

Calendar Girls New Beginnings

It is the 28th of the month, so I am here to welcome you to another round with the Calendar Girls!

Who are the Calendar Girls? We are a group of bloggers who want to have a place where friendships blossom, creativity abounds, and encouragement prevails! In keeping with that dream, this blog group has been created so we will have a place to interact and enjoy being fellow bloggers.

Carol is our hostess this month and this is what she wrote for us to follow:

As the saying goes April showers bring May flowers....
To me April showers clean the earth of its worn out snow, dust and dirt along with nurturing new seeds and life to our surroundings (gardens, yards, trees, etc.). It also, to me signals new beginnings....so for this month I would like for you to create a card that does just that...it could be a wedding card, a baby card, even a New Years card...OR it could be a card that uses something worn out or pre-used and develop a new use for it...ex: mesh bag from fruit...used once to hold fruit: new beginning...used on the card...repurposed.. I know all of you are very talented crafters and I can hardly wait to see what you come up with...

Have fun with this challenge...     ((hugs)) Carol

This was a fun card for me to make.  As many of you know I love Whipper Snapper stamps and this was one I have had for awhile, but not inked it up.  So--I thought it would make a great card for "New Beginnings"!

And--as a Special Note--on the day that this is published, I will be in the presence of Carol.  Yup!  I get to meet her in real life and spend a few days with Carol along with 4 other ladies who I have met in the past.  We are meeting at my house and will spend some wonderful time getting inky and laughing and chatting and just enjoying each other's company in person!  I cannot wait!  This is truly a "new" beginning to meet Carol, but is a continuation of the friendships I have formed with the 4 special ladies!
