Three Muskateers Round 3

It is the 9th of the month and The Three Musketeers are back with another post.  Yes, we have been busy this past month, creating a new card with the image Kelly provided for Round #3!

Kelly said she wanted to use a snowman image to celebrate her families great time in Tennessee over the holidays.  However, since I sent a snowy image to use for December, she went with plan B and sent us an image she had never used.  Challenge On!

I struggled deciding how to color the image.  I decided to watercolor the ground and flowers in the basket using my aqua painter and the color from the inside of my Stampin' Up ink pad.  I always have to remember that that water coloring is not an exact science and it does not look a "neat" as markers.  I really like the way it did turn out!  And, since it is Kelly's month, it had to have buttons!

Here is the inside of my card:

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  They may post today or within the next few days, so be sure to check out their cards!

SOTC December ~ Spring Card

This is my card for our every other month swap for an awesome group of ladies on SCS--the SOTC--Sisters of the Traveling Cards!  April is our hostess for December and she posted the following:

The theme for these oh-so chilly months is a non-traditionally shaped, Spring themed card! Anything that says "Spring" to you and any shaped card but rectangle.

This was a bit of a challenge for me as I almost always make rectangle cards.  I did not want to make a "common" square card, so I used a card I got in a swap a bit ago as a template.  I am not sure what it is called, but it is fun!

Here is my card as it is opened:

Image/Sentiment:  Whipper Snapper What's Up

Cardstock:  Gina K White; Stampin' Up So Saffron, Certainly Celery; Imaginisce Spring Stripe

Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black

Accessories—SU Certainly Celery 1/4" Grosgrain; Copic Marker

Calendar Girls Farewell

It is the 28th of the month and that is the day the Calendar Girls post.  So--I am posting, but I am also sad as this will be the last post for this group. We posted for four years and it has been a blast.  Wonderful Challenges--Great Fun--Sweet Creations--and Awesome Friendships!

We did not have a theme for this month and I am going back and choosing a favorite card from the past.  Yes, I think this group has been "Up to Snow Good" for the past four years.......................  Just kidding

Here is the inside of my card:

Here are a couple of other Christmas or Winter themed cards we have made in the past:

I am also posting the very first card I created in January of 2011 for this group:

This has been a great run the past four years.  I hope the other Calendar Girls have enjoyed the challenges every month and had fun creating the cards every month!

And, a special thanks to Jeanette for her idea in forming this group and trying to keep us in line all of these months......................

Please check out the blogs of all of the Calendar Girls—there may be some posts today about our group.  Thanks for joining us this month and for the past four years!  I will miss posting for this group!!!!!
