We are Like a Really Small Gang!

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image that Jeanette provided this month for Card #28!  All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month for more than two years and hope that it continues for a few more!  I am up next for the February challenge and I have already decided and sent the images.  Be sure to come back to see what we create!

For our card this month, Jeanette said knew she had to get the stamp set as soon as she saw the sentiment.  Yes, I do think that it fits the three of us!  We are more than Friends.  We are like a Really Small Gang!   I really like this image and the sentiment does make me laugh out load.  It seems that many of the images we pick each month are some that makes us all smile!!!  I hope Jeanette and Kelly like my card and they too are smiling!

Here is the inside of my card:

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  They may post today, or it may be upcoming, so be sure to check out their blog for their card!

Crafters of Faith Debut, again.....

This is my card for the "new" Crafters of Faith that Kelly is hosting on SCS.  Kelly organized a similar group a few years ago and it faded away.  She has been anxious to get it started again, so here we are for 2017!    We currently have 14 members and it still is growing.  This will be a fun year in this heartwarming and inspirational group

What was the previous Crafters of Faith?  It was a WONDERFUL place to come together and chat and craft together with supplies we have already on hand - adding in the twist of using scripture! The group will be very similar in 2017. In a nutshell, the hostess for that month will share with us her chosen scripture verse and we will all create a card, scrapbook page, bible journaling page (etc.) around that verse. Kelly also posted this:  We’ll encourage each other daily, lift each other up, pray for one another as need and of course, craft together! I know for me, I am always striving to grow further in my spiritual walk and growing in faith and friendship is a wonderful start. We’ll all grow together in God’s love and grace, and I’d like to share that anything from daily postings to card kits to cards with faith based images or scriptures might be included. Mostly, this will be “our” group! A place to take a break from life, have a sip of coffee or tea, and just know you are loved, prayed for, and always a place to be happy, refreshed, renewed!

Up first for January is Tracie.  She challenged us with the following:  When I think about SCS I am most thankful for my friends that I have made here so I went to my bible and found scripture about friendship. I decided to go with Proverbs 27:9 - "A sweet friendship refreshes the soul". So lets see a card about friendship.  And since we are thankful for our SCS friends, I would like each of you to send your card to an assigned person in this swap.

I made a card that used a brand new Hero Arts Stamp that I saw demonstrated a month or ago at my local stamp store.  It is called Color Layering Bouquet and it is layers of colors, using different stamps.  I do like how it turned out.  And, the person I get to send it to is Jody!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Kelly, Tracie and Jody along with the others like my card this month!  We are to post between the 7th and 10th of each month, so if you look on my sidebar, you may see other creations.  I know that there will be many posted in the COF thread on SCS too!

Bake Shoppe Swap

This is my card for the monthly themed swap that Terry is hosting on SCS.  Each month she will post a theme and we make cards using any stamp set we believe follows that thought. This is our 13th month and the theme for January is "Bake Shoppe".  I am sure there will be some wonderful cards this month!

I have added some glitter on the icing on the cake and the candles with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear Pen, but it does not show up at all in the picture.

I hope Terry and the others swappers like my card this month too!  I cannot wait to see what our theme is for February and that will post on the 10th.  This completes our first full year of this swap and I hope it goes strong into year #2!

I hope you enjoy this collection and a look back at 2016..........  And, if you read all the way to the end, you will see how you might be able to win my blog candy!

December Secret Santa by Stampendous

So--what did I learn on my look back?

~~I love to use my Copic Markers and have patterned paper as the background on most cards.

~~I posted 25 cards in May and 21 in January, February and August.  But, in December, I have only posted 8 and in September I posted 9.......  These were the only single digit months.  I think I did pretty good this past year.

~~Many of my designs are quite similar--I need to branch out more in 2017 and maybe try some sketches!  I posted these same exact words this past year, so now I really need to get on the ball and try some new designs!

What are your thoughts on the cards I picked?  Which one was your favorite?  Please post a comment and tell me what you think about my highlights of 2016.  I will chose randomly chose one person who leaves a comment and send a package of blog candy to them.  Please comment by January 10th and I will post the winner on the 12th--so be sure to check back.

Thanks for playing along, Barb

Farwell Post for Mystery Group

Here is my card for our December mystery image group.  I sent this image as it is one of my favorite winter stamps.  It also is the last card I am going to be posting for this group as I am stepping away in 2017.  It has been fun to get a new envelope every month and creating cards with new images and often new companies!  I really enjoyed being a part for the past two years and I wish everyone the best for the new round!  Thanks Mystery Ladies!

I used some clear Wink of Stella on all three of the snowmen, so they do sparkle a bit.  I wish everyone who is continuing in this group the best!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope the others in our group like my card.  I cannot wait to see all of the other creations!

Reading Flopsey

This is the card for the 29th round of the Unidentified Image swap on SCS.  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--that is today!   The image for this round were provided by Kelly.  She will swap the cards and include the next image that Tracie, our next hostess, provides in our return envie.  And then we get to do it all again--for round #30--in February!

The image that Kelly sent is so darn cute.  I love many of the MFT Images!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations today or in the next few days.  I hope Kelly and the others in this swap like my card!

Secret Santa

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image that I provided this month for Card #27!  All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month for more than two years and hope that it continues for a few more!  Jeanette is up next for the January challenge and she said the images are already in the mail.  Be sure to come back to see what we create!

For our card this month, I went with a traditional Santa image that I love.  I covered his beard with Clear Wink of Stella and used a new white acrylic marker on the fur on his suit.  I then added some White Wink of Stella to give it a bit of sparkle.  I really like this image and I hope Jeanette and Kelly did too!

Birthday Bash

This card is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS.  Each month we make 10 cards and include a matching envelope.  They can be any theme for any month.  All of the swappers are wonderful and I have received awesome cards each and every month.

I decided to make a birthday card for December instead of a Christmas Card.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Pam and the others swappers like my card this month!
