I provided the challenge for June: Ask your spouse the following questions and record the answers for your card. 1--What is their favorite color? Name a number between 1-5? 3--Name a holiday or occasion--does not need to be their favorite. Then--make a card for that holiday or occasion, with their favorite color as a prominent focal point and use the number they stated somehow in the card. The key was to also not tell them why you are asking the questions until the answers are given! Ready? Set. Go!
So--I checked this out with Rebecca and I did get pretty lucky. Her favorite color is Green; for the holiday she told me May Day and for the number--it was 4. I went with a Stampin' Up stamp set that I have not inked up--but have made some fun cards at class and for hostess club. I thought it was a great card to give for May Day too! There are 4 green gems on the corner and also four layers on the base. We received some sweet flowers on May Day from our friend Jill and true to the holiday traditions--she left them in the early morning without a note as to who they came from...……………… I think the crumb cake heart designer series paper is perfect for this fun holiday. I also spritzed some Wink of Sarah over the image for shimmer!
Here is the inside of my card:
Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards. Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog. I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card and that you might too! Jeanette is up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in July!

Barb, first let me say, I loved your theme! (I wasn't too happy with Brent's answer - but I loved the theme!)
And your card... WOW! It is gorgeous! Lovely flowers, great design, nice touches (like the spritz). Fabulous!
So sweet to have received May Day flowers, too. Fun!
What a gorgeous card Barb - and a great 'recipe' to challenge you all!
Blessings
Maxine
How about Ready, Set, WOW! This is stunning. Your coloring and use of this (large!) flower stamp is impressive - it scared me! But I do think you were very lucky with your challenge choice and found the perfect stamp to go with it - woohoo!
Fun challenge this month - though we all sound like we're bipolar and dont' know what day/holiday is is! LOL!
