Always Jump in Puddles

If you are looking for my Dueling Darlings Post, please scroll down.

Today is the third Wednesday of the month and that means a Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card! The 3 Musketeers (Jeanette, Kelly and I) are back with another challenge this month--our 16th month!  We are now well into year #2!

Kelly provided the challenge for August and she used the premise of my June challenge:  Back in the day, our parents/grandparents probably said quite a few quirky things the younger generation would wonder what it means!  Some of the sayings are from an era long ago and days gone by, but perhaps catchy enough to stick with your family.  Your challenge this month is to think back on the good 'ol days and remember some of the sayings and create a card based on that.  BUT - to think of your OWN would be too easy!  Because we are RSG think-outside-the-box challengers, we are going to send 2 choices to one another backwards alphabetical order (opposite from last month) and you'll let your partner know what card to create based on ONE of the two choices sent!   So Barb sends 2 to Kelly,  Kelly sends 2 to Jeanette, and Jeanette sends 2 to Barb.    This month I'm sending you down memory lane - Ready, Set, GO!

So--I followed directions and asked Jeanette.  She gave me two sayings from her grandparents.  Her Grandma often told her growing up "Beauty is as beauty does".  Jeanette knew her Grandma would draw attention to the inner beauty of people with her saying.  The second saying came from her Grandpa and she remembers him saying often " When it rains, it pours".  She said her Grandpa was a fun guy and she has many fond memories of him.

I picked the second saying as I knew I had some cute umbrella type cards.  I added the fun sentiment as Jeanette mentioned her Grandpa was a fun guy and I am sure he did jump in many puddles during his life--maybe even with Jeanette!

Here is the inside of my card:

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card and that you might too!  I am up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in September!
