Creative Color Blocking

 

These are my cards for Day 6 of the Spring Card Class 2 at Online Cards Classes.  This class is for 20 days and I also went back and signed up for Class 1 that recently ended, just to get all of the awesome content.  I will go back and work on some of those cards too.  Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire set up the class and they bring in guest artists each day.  I am loving everything I have seen so far!

For our Day 6 card, Laurie Willison challenged us to make Creative Colored Blocked backgrounds.  I picked some great 6x6 patterned paper packs from Brutus Monroe and made the strips.  Laurie also used a die as her focal point, so I picked some dies from Memory Box and MFT.  I layered each one three times for additional dimension. I really, really like the look of both of these cards and it really was very simple to do. I know this class will provide me with many new techniques and different ways to use what I have in my stash!  Stay Tuned!
