Stencil Shading + Vintage Twist

This is my card for Day 5 of the Spring Card Class 2 at Online Cards Classes.  This class is for 20 days and I also went back and signed up for Class 1 that recently ended, just to get all of the awesome content.  I will go back and work on some of those cards too.  Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire set up the class and they bring in guest artists each day.

For our Day 5 card, Lydia Fiedler and Kathy Racoosin challenged us to make a card with Stencil Shading with a Vintage Twist. They both demoed a floral stencil with the antique look, but I do not have an stencils with flowers.  So, I picked a Hero Arts Deco Pattern Stencil and used Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink over the entire stencil.  I then sponged three more colors of oxide inks over the vintage color.  Kathy also stamped a sentiment on a piece of vellum, so I used a sentiment from the Stampin' Up Friendly Expression set.  A few glimmer enamel dots are the final touch.  I am planning to send this card out later this week. I really like the soft colors of this card and it does have a bit of a vintage look.

I know this class will provide me with many new techniques and different ways to use what I have in my stash!  Stay Tuned!

I hope you come back to see more of my cards from this fun class!
