Music Speaks

Today is the 10th and the day we are to post our Stamp What? challenge with the three collaborators you have seen many times in the past--Kelly, Jeanette and me! We started this in January of 2020, so we are now starting our second year of this fun challenge.  Kelly came up with the challenge to randomly pick a Stampin' Up set and make a card with that set.  Get the dust off of those forgotten Stampin' Up sets!

I decided when this group challenge started to only use the wooden Stampin' Up stamps that are on my bottom shelves.  So this month, I randomly picked the Music Speaks set!  This is also a quite old set as the year 1994 is on the box. I started stamping in 2004 and I am not really sure when I got this set.

I thought this set would make a perfect slim-line card.   I also decided to stay with a black and white theme.  I picked my Picket Fence Slim-line die cut system for the white layer and a black slim-line overlay from The Paper Cut for the window layer.  I stamped three of the images and layered each of them behind the cut out windows.  I also punched out a couple of notes with my circle punch and added a few Sparkletz called Island Breeze from Buttons Galore.

Here is the inside of my card, with a strip of washi tape and another note:

I like the look of my card this month and I hope you do too.  Be sure to check out Jeanette and Kelly's cards.  I am sure they have some fun cards with those "oldies but goodies" stamp sets by Stampin' Up!  And be sure to check back every month on the 10th to see what we create!

Oh this is a black and white beauty! I remember this set from the way back days - Didn’t own it but it was way popular! Nice use of the picket fence slimline to showcase this set!

You're right, Barb... that stamp set worked beautifully on the slimline layout. Beautifully done!
