Today it is time for another Hot Mess card and this is card number 14. We are now into year #2. The idea of Hot Mess ~ Success started with Kelly and the general theme is to Get Messy and you will have Success!  Messiness can be almost anything that we come up with--glitter, alcohol inks, glimmer glitz, sponged backgrounds, etc., anything that is a bit messy.  We are a group of 6 and we will post a card each month on the 12th.  The links to the other 5 members are on my left side bar and I will also link them at the bottom at this post.

For this month's messiness,  I used some of my Tim Holtz alcohol inks--Sailboat Blue, Stream and Botanical.  I added a few drops of each color to my rectangle foam blending tool and swiped the colors across a piece of Tim Holtz Silver Sparkle Alcohol Ink Cardstock. I love the sparkle of the background, though it is not very visible in the photo.  The die is also a Tim Holtz Sizzix Shadow Script #3.  I die cut the shadow from the same silver cardstock and the word Explore was cut three times from Night of Navy and layered. A few green enamel dots are the final touch!

Friday's With The Project Bin

It is Friday, so  that means that I am back with another card for The Project Bin Stamps--A Way With Words!  I am posting on alternate Fridays, using one of the great photopolymer stamp sets from this sweet company.  So, please plan to come back to see what I have created--I think you too will love these great sentiment stamp sets.  And, remember, some of the sets come with matching steel dies! Denise is the owner, founder and creator of these wonderful stamp sets.  The sentiments she has for us to ink up are just perfect for any holiday or time of year.  Please be sure to go and check them out!

For my first card for September, I made another Christmas Card.  This card uses the sweet set called Maybe Christmas.  I love the sentiment and it fits perfectly in a MFT Stax Stitched Arch die. I inked up the stamp with Cherry Cobbler. The background paper is from a great package by Stampin' Up called Festive Farmhouse.  I love this patterned paper and it is a perfect compliment to this great saying!   Three blue brads and a strip of Gray Granite Ribbon are the added embellishments.    I really like this card and I hope you do too.

Stamp What?

Today is September 10th and is the 9th month of the Stamp What? challenge with the three collaborators you have seen many times in the past--Kelly, Jeanette and me!  Kelly came up with the challenge to randomly pick a Stampin' Up set and make a card with that set.  Get the dust off of those forgotten Stampin' Up sets! 

I decided when this group challenge started to only use the wooden Stampin' Up stamps that are on my bottom shelves.  So this month, I randomly picked a set called Stella Stamper.  She is an oldie as the year 1999 is on the box.  I remember that she was a hot item on eBay and I think I found her at a stamping rummage sale--Score!

I inked Stella up and colored her with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I die cut the image with Whimsy Stamps Stitched Rectangles.  There are quite a funny sentiments in the set and I inked up one of them.  The background paper is a fun pattern also from Stampin' Up called Follow Your Art!  I added a some pink ribbon as the only embellishment!

I'm Here For You!

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the sweet image that Jeanette sent for September--for Card #73!  That means we are at the start of year #6--can you believe that?  All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month and we hope that it continues for a long time!  Kelly is up next for the October challenge.  Be sure to come back to see what we create!  

For our card this month, Jeanette sent out this sweet image from CC Designs called Umbrella Sussie!  She also included two coordinating sentiments.

I colored the cute image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I fussy cut the image and layered it over some rainy background paper from Echo Park Paper called Celebrate Spring.  I added one of the sentiments at the bottom.  Then, some Nuvo Water Droplets that I recently bought are the final touch!  I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Limes and 2020!

This is my September Crafters of Faith card.  This is a great group that my friend Kelly started on SCS and we are well in our 4th year.  Dawn is the hostess this month and gave everyone this challenge:

Scripture:   John 15:1-8 As it is the fall and a time of harvest, consider the fruits you have grown this year through your thoughts, words and actions.

Challenge: Show case fruit on your card!

I found a Unity Itty Bitty stamp that is think highlights how many people feel about 2020!  The stamp set is called "When Live Gives You Limes". We all know the saying about when life gives you lemons--but I think 2020 has brought out the Limes---and the Margaritas!  The background paper is from Reminisce called Cocktails & Dreams! I colored the image and part of the sentiment with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I added a few enamel dots and some Bermuda Bay Satin Ribbon.  I really like the look of this card! And, I do like a Margarita--not gonna lie!

Just A Note

This is my September card for the monthly themed swap that Terry is hosting on SCS. Each month she will post a theme and we make cards using any stamp set we believe follows that thought. This is our 55th month and the theme for September  is "Sound of Music".  

I picked a stamp set that I received a few years ago as a gift from my friend Kelly--love the variety in this set from TPC Studio called Music!  I then decided on the background paper and picked TPS Textured Cream Sheet Music. I then embossed Allegro from Cuttlebug on black cardstock and cut it in half. I die cut the image with my Spellbinders circle dies and layered it on a scalloped circle.  I added a brad of two eighth notes for a final touch!  I think this is a fun card.

Thinking of You

This is the second of my two cards for Jen's Lawn Fawn swap on Splitcoaststampers.  My first card was posted yesterday, so be sure to check back.  I have quite a few Lawn Fawn stamp sets and many have matching dies!  This card uses the Chit Chat stamp set and matching dies.  

I stamped one of the sweet birds and the Thinking of You sentiment with Stampin' Up inks that coordinated with the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper.  I used two different patterns along with some Stampin' Up Mint Macaron Mini Striped Ribbon!

Critters at the Dog Park!

This is one of my two cards for Jen's Lawn Fawn swap on Splitcoaststampers.  My second card will be posted tomorrow, so be sure to check back.  I have quite a few Lawn Fawn stamp sets and many have matching dies!  This card uses the Critters of the Dog Park stamp and die set.

I stamped two of the dogs and a coordinating sentiment from the same set on a piece of white cardstock.  I colored the sweet dog images with my Copic Sketch Markers and used a die to cut out the gray dog. I found some fun dog house patterned paper for my background. Stampin' Up Early Espresso Baker's Twine is the added touch.

Birthday Grumpy!

This is card #9 for my September One + 12 card!  This is a very fun, monthly challenge with Kelly and Jeanette to use one stamp only, each month, for one + 12!  For 2020, I am using my Taylored Expressions image called Big Grumpy.  I am able to add one of the coordinating sentiments from the set.  I think he is a hoot!  

This month I used one of the sentiments from the Big Grumpy Birthday Set.  I colored Big Grumpy with my Copic Sketch Markers and used the matching die to cut him out.   I also fussy cut his party hat!  The background paper is from a 6x6 Gina K Designs paper pack called Birthday Hoot.  This sentiment is perfect for me as I do not bake!  I added some Stampin' Up Coastal Cabana Stretch Ruffle Trim to the bottom and 3 enamel dots to the top!

Gnome One Like You!

Today I am showing you a card that I made for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges on Splitcoast Stampers.  It is a fun week of challenges--41 in all.  I do not plan to do all of them or even half, but I am sure to make a few before the deadline of Friday.

I inked up a newer Whipper Snapper Designs stamp that I bought early this spring from Creative Pals in Brookfield, WI--home store of WSD!  I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I cut the image out with a die from Whimsy Stamps called Stitched Rectangles.  I used some fun Easter Egg patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs called Easter Assortment for the background
